Sup peeps, this is my ending to the story, The Lady, or the Tiger. The original story goes something like this: There was once a semi-barbaric king, he had a quite special way of trials. If a person is accused of doing something wrong, he will go to the arena on an assigned date, and other people will gather there to watch the person's trial. There were two doors, one leading to a savage tiger, while the other one leads to a beautiful lady. If the person chose the door leading to the tiger, he will be killed on the spot by the tiger; but if he chose the other door, the one leading to the lady, then he and the lady will marry on the spot, even if the man has already married. The king had a daughter, she also inherited her father's semi-barbaric nature. She was in love with a normal guy, and the guy also loved her deeply. Later, the king found out about this relationship and arrested the guy for falling in love with the princess. On the day of the trial, the princess gestured the guy to open the door to the right, for she already knew which door leads to the tiger and which door leads to the lady. But, the princess hated the lady because she saw her (the lady) flirting with the princess' lover. The guy saw the princess' gesture, and he opened the right door without any hesitation... and the story ends here. So here is my conclusion👇🏻

To be honest, I did hesitate. Even though I knew that the princess loved me deeply and wouldn't let me die, doubtful thoughts kept bouncing back into my mind. What if the truth is the princess didn't really loved me and wanted me to die? What if the princess didn't remember where the correct door is? I took a deep breath and swung open the door to my right. There was a tiger inside the room! I shut my eyes and prepared to die. Five seconds passed, I wasn't devoured by the tiger. I peered through one eye and saw the tiger still lying perfectly still on the floor. Then I noticed the arrow on its back. Thank you! I turned to look at the princess...but she was nowhere to be seen, instead, there was a sack of potatoes on her seat. Audiences were stunned, even the king was speechless. I spun and studied the corpse. Suddenly, I perceived that there was something written on the skin. I crouched down to get a better look and found out that it was actually a letter from the princess.
Dear young man,
This is my last goodbye to you. I should not keep you from the truth for any longer, for it will only hurt you more. The truth is, you were never my true love. I was amused by your love and passion towards me, but sadly, I already had a lover even before I knew you. Now I am safe with my lover, and we are at a place where no one will ever find out, so you don't even need to consider about searching for me. You made a great puppet, and you really entertained me, so just let the dead tiger be my last gift to you. And again, goodbye.
Love,
Princess
Hot tears rolled down my face, and I dropped to my knees. I scrunched up the letter with all my might, she betrayed me and she never loved me, she was just playing with me the whole time. I tightened my fist until my nails dug into my flesh. Hey, you are a man, get ahold of yourself; there was only one thing left for me to do — to spread this story and make sure people doesn't make my mistake. I stood up, full of determination, and limped towards the exit of the arena, vanishing into the crowd.
