Heyo, it's Bagels! Sorry I haven't been here in a while! I was bored, and came up with this!~

It's really long... Er, sorry about th

Okay, so it's a Teen Titans one-shot, and it's Reverse Batfamily, except there's only Jason and Dick. And they're two years apart. It's a definitely an AU, I know.

Dick- 16
Jason- 18

It started out as a normal fight.

Red X had stolen something priceless again. The Teen Titans had, of course, run after him.

And Red X had, yet again, managed to knock out everyone except Robin.

They were racing across the rooftops of Jump City, exchanging blows. Robin knew Red X was toying with him. He knew that Jason was just trying to prove his worth, prove he's better than his "replacement."

Dick just wanted justice. He didn't want to hurt his brother figure, the one he thought had been dead for several years. He just wanted to smile with his brother again, to laugh with his brother again, to have his big brother care about him again, instead of trying to harm him.

When Dick had found out Jason was the on under that mask, he had been shocked. When his big brother had died at the hands of the Joker, Dick thought that was the last time he'd even see his big brother again. He'd never see his smile that came so rarely those days, never hear the laugh that sometimes escaped his brother that was more precious to Dick than Bruce's diamond collection, never even see the way his cheeks flushed with effort while training with their father...

Dick thought he'd lost his brother forever.

But when he found out that Jason was under that mask, he knew that it really was the end of those good times. Jason's laugh was now cruel and mocking, his smile a twisted smirk that edged at sadistic that one time he actually saw his face, and he couldn't even see the flushed cheeks because of his mask. The good times with Jason really were gone, lost forever in the past that Dick could never return to...

He had felt so betrayed when Jason had finally revealed himself as Red X. He had shut himself in his room at the Tower for days, not coming out to even eat. Dick had torn up his room, projecting himself as angry when he was really hurt and sad on the inside.

Why would Jason do that? Did Jason blame him for taking his place as Robin? Did he hate him because he never tried to bring him back to life? Was he mad because Dick attacked him when he found him stealing? Was he actually just hurt and lost, confused about being brought back to life?

Robin had contacted Bruce for the first time in months to ask him to do some research for him. Bruce hadn't said anything about what Robin told him about Red X, he just set to work finding out what brought him back to life. Robin hated Bruce for the fact that he didn't seem to care that his son was alive. He wasn't even that emotional when Jason had died. Robin hated Batman for being emotionless even when he was out of his nightly persona. That's why he had left just two months after being Robin. Bruce's lack of any emotion at all devastating to Dick, almost as much as Jason's death. Would Bruce be that emotionless if he had died? Would he not care if he had been beaten to a pulp and blown up, like his big brother he idolized? Dick just couldn't take it anymore, and left...

A flash of red and it was already too late for Robing to dodge the X-shaped shuriken. He moved as best he could, however, and managed to clip the side of his utility belt. It fell to the ground, the bright yellow standing out against the dull, washed out colors of the rooftop the two ex-brothers were fighting on. He scowled, something he did a lot more after Jason had-
