Enter QUINN, KEIGH, FERNDINAND, SIMMONS
QUINN: Is everyone here?
KEIGH: Some of the girls are still missing.
Enter SUMMER & MARIGOLD
SUMMER: Sorry we’re late Quinn.
QUINN: Perfect. Now everybody’s here
FERDINAND: Did you pick our roles?
QUINN: Yes, I did. As you all know, we’ll be ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. So, the characters will be as follows: Summer, you will be Hermia.
SUMMER: Lovely, that’s the lead right?
QUINN: Yes, it is. Ferdinand, you will play Lysander, her love interest.
FERDINAND: Yes! That’s just what I wanted.
[Winks at Summer]
SUMMER: [rolls eyes playfully]
QUINN: Keigh, you will be Bottom.
KEIGH: The donkey?
QUINN: Well, your name is Don Keigh. I thought that it would be a nice pun.
KEIGH: It’s not nice at all
QUINN: Marigold! You will be Helena and Simmons you are Demetrius. You two have a nice chemistry
MARIGOLD: [blushes]
SIMMONS: [grins]
QUINN: Brook is Hippolyta, Aidan is Egeus, Liam is Philostrate, Mason is Oberon, Abby is Titania, Percy is Puck and I am Theseus. The rest of your characters are on that sheet of paper that on the board.
KEIGH: That was there all along?
SUMMER: Even I noticed it and I came late. You’re a bit slow aren’t you Don?
QUINN: Okay! So the scripts are on this table, you can collect them in a minute. Remember: This has to be the best performance this summer will see, okay? We have one month to finish it! Let’s do our best! Rehearse your lines and we’ll begin practice tomorrow.
