This could be the last of all the roads we take,
So hold on tight and don't look back.
We don't care about the message or the rules they make.
I'll find you when the sun goes black.
And you only live forever in the lights you make.
When we were young we used to say
That you only hear the music when your heart begins to break.
Now, we are the kids from yesterday.
Jimmy is the son of the lead singer of the infamous punk-rock band Green Day. But all Jimmy ever wanted was to be just another kid in high school. So he asks his dad and he agrees, but Jimmy had only one condition: he had to change from Jimmy Armstrong to Jimmy Clarke. After he gets his parents' approval he goes to high school, but it turns out that it wasn't what Jimmy thought it was. So he become just another friendless underdog at Jefferson High. Until two years later when a peculiar girl walks into his life.
Jade Helena Williams is new at Jefferson, but there are some secrets she's hiding under her sleeve.
During Jade's first week, some jocks try to take advantage if her and she kicks one of them in their family jewels, getting sent to the principal's office. Sitting on a chair, she meet a kid her age which had the similar problems and taste in music.
Will Jimmy ever tell her his true identity, and will Jade ever trust in him enough to tell him about her past?
And most importantly, will their friendship ever turn in something else, or will both them be so insecure and keep their feelings to themselves?
A/N: I got this idea while listening to My Chemical Romance's The Kids From Yesterday.
