Chapter 1

Readers pov:

The day I woke up an orphanage surrounded by kids I didn't  know very well. When I looked up an little girl smiled.  "Hello I'm Lacey" "h-hello I'm y/n" I say nervously.

"Hey I just wanted to know how old are you y/n. " "I'm 12. How old are you? " I'm 10-years - old" Lacey says proudly.

"Cool ,hey lacey do you want to become my little sister" "Sure , everyone here thinks I'm weird so they bully me so I think it would be cool to have a sister.  Would you do my hair like a sister when we can? " "yes I will"

Y/n was call by the rude nun that you hated before you could do Lacey hair. Lacey moans and hugs you and says sorry.

You get up and go over and look up to the nun waiting for her to say something.  "She's not to play with you ."

"Why" you said rudely in her face. All if a sudden you we're slap across the  face and hit the floor. You hold your face and tears stream down your cheeks and the nun walks off after telling you  get up and stop crying. Lacey walks slowly over to you and kneels down and holds your face.  "Are you okay y/n? "

"I'm fine my face just hurts bad"you said rubbing your face. Lacey sighs and leans down to rest her forehead on yours . "She's really mean.  One of the meanest here"

"I'm going to sleep now goodnight lacey" "goodnight y/n"

~two years later~

"Y/n look at me" "I'm looking sis" you say smiling watching her play with a ball.  Then the ball goes in the street and she runs after it. The next thing you know she's laying bloody in the street and you're running to get the nurse.

"Help me help me please please oh
God lacey got hit by a car " "calm down I'm coming out" the nurse says following you . When you get there lacey is still breathing but hardly. The nurse does all she can to help and then decides to bring her to the hospital and says I should go too.

Lacey calls y/n raising her hand for you to hold. You go over and hold it.  "Are you okay? "

"I don't think so y/n because my bones are broken and I can barely move." "Please don't die, I love you sis" you start to cry. She wipes away your tears weakly then lays her hand back down slowly and painfully.

"Please take care of yourself for me please" "no no no no dont leave me" you cry hard tears flow like rivers down your cheeks. Then lacey goes limp. You scream in agony and grab her like you'll never let go. They'll have to pry you off. The doctor heard the scream and runs in and sees you crying and hugging Lacey's lifeless body and tries to get you off but can't.

"I'm sorry miss y/n but you must leave now. " " NO I CANT JUST LEAVE MY SISTER!!!! " "You must leave. We have to put her body in the morgue to be ready for a funeral. Who will be paying for it? " "I will,  we've been saving up for when we get out of here and I could adopt her" "oh I see. Well I will see to it you are told when ready" "okay" you say kissing Lacey on the forehead and a single tear drops on her eyelid. You let go and are led out of the room.
