Chapter 1
I sat at my window seat loooking out at the sunset slowly disappearing below the ocean . I hadn't realied how long I had been staring at the sunset until my annoying younger brother cam bombarding into my room , about dinner being served in five minutes. It was after he'd left had I realized that my large hazel eyes were now burning like hell and were overflong with tears.I got up from where i was itting for maybe hours and went straight to the bathroom to remove the sting from my eyes.
"Nothing a little cold water can't fix", I whispered to myself.
Lifting my head up to the mirror, I saw the true damage the sun had done on my now swolen and red eyes. I can just imagine what my mother will say when i go downstairs. I grabbed my towel, wipped the streaming cold water off my faceand stared in the mirror, just in time to push a falling curl away from my now slightly tanned face. I swong open the door, descended the carpetes steps and made my way into the dining room. Mom was just about to sit down, before she shhok her head, while mumbling to herself, as she'd always done whe she'd known I'd been sitting by my window watching the sunset minutes before dinner.
"Oh Amelia dear, did you sit by that old window again?", she asked knowing that she wouldn't receive a reply for the hundreth time.
"How many times have i told you that its bad for your eyesight", she dropped her doctrine speech
"Too many times mom.... too many times", I replied annoyed, while taking my seat next to Adam.
Mom continued to shake her head as if trying to she-doesn't-know-what-she's-going-to-do-with-me, while Adam and dad ignored us like always and devoured their meals.
"I swear I don't know why you continue to stare out that window. It's as if your waiting for someone, someone that has gone, and is certain to return".
Those were the last few words my mother had on the discussion before Adam dropped in his usual snotty comment.
"Whomever she's waiting on i just pray that for their sake they don't return".
While he snorted on about his ridculous comment I too the oppourtunity to nudge him in the side as I'd aways done when he made a snotty comment, which would then cause him to cough up air but in this case he was coughing up his food which i would assme went down the wrong tube. As everyone continued eting and having one or two small dicussions along the way, I started to drift off into one of my many deep thoughts. One thing mom was right about was the fact that whenever I stared out that window, I was just staring at sun setting because it was beautiful....well sometime it was but that's not the point her, or in her case nothing. I was waiting for it to go down, waiting for the darkness to fall after. Hoping, just hoping (Wow......desperate much) that one night when the moon is high enough that I'd be able to see those big crystal blue eyes peicing through my hazel eyes once again. Watching me as I watched him. My thoughts wondered deeper, trying to what it would like it would be like if I'd opened my window and allowed him to enter, allowed him to stare at me as if I was the only thing that existed in my bedroom. Each time the thoughts would become dreams and the dreams would start to feel like reality until.........the calling of my name, ot the screaming of my alarm clock, would wake me up and remind me that the dream and reality was non other than that.... just a DREAM. Just as it was now.
"Amelia?", I heard a soft voice questioning my existence.
"Amelia", the vioce called again, this time sounding more sure andd louder.
"Mhhm", I replied sleepily.
"Dear you fell asleep around the table again".
I slightlyopened my heavy eyelids to now see my cheerful mother huge hazel eyes staring directly at from, too close for my comforting.
"What time is it?", I asked, while adjusting my eyesight to the bright light.
"Just after eight", she answered plainly.
Just then the sharp pain from having to sleep on the table for over two hours started to kick in.
'Well why didn't you wake me?", I asked her my voice soounding slightly infuriated.
"Because, you just looked so cuteeee", she repelied practically squealing like a over-dramatic teenage girl.
I gawked at her sarcastically and rolled my eyes.
"Whatever you say mom, enjoy the rest of your night", I wished her .
I removed myself from around the plateless table, walked towards my mother wahing the last few dishes in the kitchen and placed a peck on her left cheek only to have her then tackle me before ihad a chance to think twice about walking away. Hugging me tightly she began slobering me with her wet kisses. Each time she made sure to leave a kiss on the side of my hazel eyes identical to hers. As she roared in laughter.
"MOM!!", I squealed, while she erupted into a fit of laughter.
After ten long minutes of my mother's childish behaviour. I made my way towards the stars as fast as possible, but not ascending then before flashing a smile, in which she replied in the same jester. I smiled right up until I enetered my unlit bedroom. I would have probably continued smiling too if it hadn't been for the the two extremely piercing blue eyes staring blatantly, at me from the window.
OK guys so thats the end of the first chapter please comment and tell me what you think and if i get a comment or vote I will update the other chapter.
