"Nice receive!"
"Nice toss!"
"ASAHI-SAN!"
"Don't mind, don't mind!"
"Nice serve!"

"The first year duo is at is again, huh?" The girl smiled at her close friend, Shimizu Kiyoko. "I wonder when we'll find an actual coach. I can tell it's impacting the team."

"I notice it too. Sawamura-kun is doing a good job playing the role though." Shimizu smiled, "You too
Miyuna-chan."

"Ehh, Kiyoko you're making me blush!" Miyuna laughed, throwing the ball to Hinata's hand since he had missed a toss from Kageyama.

The door for the gym's opened, and the club advisor Takeda-sensei appeared. "Good work everyone!"

"Huddle up!" Daichi yelled, but turned around in surprise as another person's body made it in the doorway.

"Let me introduce you to Ukai-kun, who will be the volleyball team's coach from today!" Takeda-sensei stated, catching Miyuna's attention.

Miyuna whistled, "He's pretty good looking." She thought, walking over.

"A coach? Are you serious?" Daichi asked, inching closer.

Ukai, who was looking around the gym turned to the Captain, "Only til the game with Nekoma."

"But this dude's from Sakanoshita Store!" Tanaka said with wide eyes, "Is he really a coach?"

"He's a senpai to all of you," Takeda smiled, "His grandfather is Coach Ukai."

"HUUUHH?!?" Everyone screamed out. Ukai Keishin didn't even look the least surprised.

"Miyuna-chan, you're staring too much." Shimizu told the girl with a light smile.

"Eh? I'm just trying to figure out how good this guy is." Miyuna defended herself. She totally wasn't checking Ukai out.

"Let's get things started quickly. I invited some guests over for a game at 6:30." Ukai told the boys. "It'll be against the Karasuno Neighborhood Association team."

Hinata's eyes sparkled as he cheered, jumping up and down. The boys resumed their practice as Ukai called the rest of his teammates.

"Nishnoya-kun, are you okay?" Miyuna asked, tossing him a towel. He received it thankfully and wiped away his sweat.

After an hour, the Neighborhood Team showed up to the gym. Nishinoya and Asahi got pulled into the match and was pair with the Neighborhood guys. Then the match officially started.

"I'm Ushijima Miyuna. Second year and the manager of the team." Miyuna introduced herself to Ukai.

"Ushijima? Are you related to that top ace?" Ukai asked her, making her shrug.

"Guess so. Step siblings." She turned away, taking off her jacket with a sigh and watching the match. Ukai stared at her a few seconds too long. "Coach, shouldn't you be watching?"

Ukai turned away with the surprise of being caught staring. It was wrong but he had found the second year manager to be quite attractive.

"Shit. I could be her uncle." Ukai thought to himself,  shaking off the thoughts of finding her pretty. He was probably ten years older than the girl, what was wrong with him?

The match ended with the Neighborhood Association winning and practice was with light hearts.

"Make sure to rest up and eat breakfast. Practice will officially start tomorrow." Ukai said, dismissing everyone.

"Thank you for your hard work!" The whole team yelled, excusing themselves to leave.

"See you tomorrow Miyuna-chan." Shimizu waved at her friend and walked out of the gym.

"What are you doing there Ushijima?" Ukai asked, walking over curiously.

"Just call me Miyuna. I hate that last name." Miyuna said bitterly. Ukai stared at her silently. "I've been making a data book for the team to see what they need more work on. I just collect data from the day's practice and..."

Ukai stared at the small notebook with impressed eyes. "Can I see this?"

Miyuna nodded and handed him the notebook. He flipped through the pages, skimming over it. The data traced back from even the girl's first day of joining the volleyball team as a manager.

"This is impressive. Mind if I borrow it for the night and read through it?" Ukai asked. The girl nodded, putting back on her jacket.

"See you tomorrow Coach." Miyuna said, waving and walking out of the gym. She pulled out her phone and read the text she received.

From: Ushijima Wakatoshi
Father is worried about you. Make sure you come home soon.

"Tch, asshole. Not like you or he cares." Miyuna deleted the text message and flipped her phone shut.
