You,
Hide,
In my mind,
Like the shadow we see,
From the corners of our eyes. You,
Hurt me,
Without saying a word,
Because I say them for you.I try,
Over and over again,
To be something,
Anything,
In your life.I was,
Something,
But that thing died, and you crushed it,
Like the leaves in the fall.I reach out for you,
Trying to touch,
With force,
And grace,
Anything to grab your attention. But you are still a child,
And I might be too,
I've grown in many ways,
That you haven't yet thought to.
