"I can't believe you're doing this." I looked back at the guy who held my arms as he pushed me to the edge.

He just shook his head, avoiding eye contact with me at all costs. Fucking coward.

"Jaxon, fucking look at me!" I couldn't ignore the tears that were streaming down my cheeks. My own brother was doing this. He was committing the act that I had a slim chance of surviving.

"You know what you did!" I heard his voice break and I knew he was on the verge of crying, too. He stopped pushing me all of a sudden. I knew we were here.

The edge was where angels were sent to die when they had done something gravely wrong. They had their wings ripped out and they were thrown off the edge of heaven, sent plummeting hundreds of miles downward to the Earth below.

I never really thought I would find myself in this position. I'd been a loyal fighter for hundreds of years. Yet, here I was, about to be killed by my own older brother.

As I looked out ahead of me and felt Jaxon take hold of my wings, I heard him start to whisper something. I didn't know if it was the spell that would make my wings come loose and brand me as a fallen, or if he was apologizing. I didn't really care at this point.

He wasn't my brother anymore.

I started to weigh the outcomes of this. If I died, I was going to hell. If I lived, I would live on Earth, an even worse form of hell. I would be a fallen angel, and have powers I wish I didn't have.

Fallen angels were rejects. They were hated and avoided at all costs. They were seen as monsters, which, they were.

Deciding to take one last look at him, I looked back over my shoulder at Jaxon. My eyes met his bright green ones, just for a second.

"I'm sorry." The words came out of both of our mouths at the same time.

Before I had the chance to even react, my back was ripped open like a band aid. Except the band aid was my skin, and I felt blood start to pour down from the large wounds that used to hold my wings.

The pain I felt was immeasurable. I felt it, but at the same time, I didn't. I felt like I was leaving my own body as I heard myself let go of an earsplitting scream of agony.

My knees hit the ground beneath me, instantly covered in the blood that was pooling there. I fell onto my side from there, letting out another cry of pain. I didn't even have tears. It hurt too much. I was paralyzed.

I saw my wings laying on the ground next to me, slowly turning from white to black as they died.

Jaxon's feet were still there, too. The pool of blood had covered them. Even if I had wanted to look up at him, I didn't have the strength to do it myself as I laid there screaming in pain.

Soon, his foot was on my side, and I was forced to lay on my back. He pushed my body right to the edge, and I saw his jaw tighten as he looked down at me. Black spots started to fill my vision.

"I love you, little brother." I heard him whisper, before his foot sent me off the edge and flying downwards through the air with enough speed to make me feel the need to pass out.

I couldn't even do that. I watched as the world spun by around me, darkness coming closer and closer to me.

I quickly realized that this darkness was the ground, the Earth. I wanted to close my eyes but I couldn't. My entire body was on fire, the air around me buzzing with electricity.

This was it. I was going to die.

Another scream of pain left my lips before I crashed into the ground and my entire world went black.

Welcome to my newest story! It is told from Justin's POV.

Yes, I did change Jaxon to be older than Justin.

This book is inspired by the Hush, Hush series, but will (I think for the most part) not be following that story line.

I hope you all enjoy this project. I'm very excited about it. ♥
