I woke up to the sound of birds. The day seemed normal, like any other. I could hear, Ace, my foster guardian watching TV downstairs. After freshening up I went downstairs and asked Ace "What's for breakfast?" He didn't reply. I asked again, this time a bit louder, "What's for breakfast?" Again, no reply. This time I got mad. I stood in front of him and blocked the TV. He finally muttered a single word, "Move!" The TV was tuned to a soccer match between Ace's favorite team and their rivals. There were only 10 seconds left in the match and Ace's team was one point behind. Then there was a foul and a penalty. With 5 seconds left on the clock, Ace's team took the penalty. Right as the star player kicked it, I turned off the TV. "NO! NO! NO!, Why would you do that, Jax." He started wailing, "I was gonna take you to IHOP but now. No way!" I laughed and grabbed a bowl of cereal. I had made Ace miss the game point. As I finished the cereal and went upstairs, I got notification on my phone. It was a text, from my friend, Scott. It was an article about a man who escaped from jail. He was apparently coming toward our area. I curiously texted him back. DUDE, THIS CAN'T BE REAL!!! He did not reply back, but then Ace screamed, "Lock all doors and windows! There's a murder on the loose!" I did as he said, but downstairs after meeting up with Ace, something bizarre happened. Out of nowhere Ace told me to go hide. "What are you talking about?" I asked. Then he pulled my sleeve and took me to my room. He got his phone out and sent me a text. ONLY TALK IN TEXTS. THERE IS SOMEONE OUTSIDE. DON'T GO NEAR ANYWHERE HE CAN SEE YOU. NOW I AM CALLING THE POLICE. DON'T TALK. He called the police and the guy was arrested within an hour. It was dinner time and Ace had made burgers. While eating, someone rung the doorbell. " OPEN THE DOOR, PLEASE!" the mystery person screamed. Then we heard a gunshot.
