Chapter 1

Tomika's p.o.v.

Today is the day before my first day of 8th grade. The gang and I ( including Esme ) are going to play Truth or Dare.

I'm at Summer's house waiting for the boys. Lawrence starts by asking me, "Tamika, truth or dare?" "Dare" I say. "I dare you to choose truth on your next turn." Then I asked Summer, "Truth or Dare?" She said truth. "Who's your crush?" "I l-like Freddy." Freddy looked down blushing and so did Summer. "oh just get together already!" I said and we all laughed. Freddy asked Summer out. I'm so happy for her. It was my turn again. Following my last turn, I chose truth. Freddy asked, "Is it true that you wanna pick dare?" "okay" I said. So that was kind of like choosing dare. He said," I dare you to sing a song to your crush if he is here." I got my guitar and sat in front of Zack.

Zack's p.o.v.

I didn't want to hear it. Freddy knew that I liked Tamika! But something surprised me. She got her guitar, sat in front of me and started playing Brand New.

Tamika: I feel like new sunglasses, like a brand new pair of jeans

Tamika's pov

I can't believe what I just did! Now Zack knows that I like him. I tried to walk away without anyone seeing my blush but when I got up Summer said, "Nah-ah-ah Tamiks, you're doing a really bad job at trying to hide that super deep blush." I shot her a glare and started to get up. I heard Freddy say, "What are you laughing at Zack, you're blushing too." I froze in my tracks and slowly turned around. Summer and Freddy were cracking up and as usual Lawrence did not get it. To break the tension, I said, "We should keep this* points to game * going." Everyone agreed.
