Her body had been moved into a side alley where some unfortunate would find her and take the blame.
Everyone had bed down for the night after hours of drinking and planning. I laid with Violet again. "Do you regret killing that girl?" Her hands rubbed kinks out of my back. "I wanted to kill her before. I don't regret it. I would do it again." Her hands went over a peticularly sore part and I groaned. "Your uncle would be proud. Your uncle is proud. I have caught news that he will be down here in five days time. He wants to see everything." Her hands started rolling again. "There isn't anything to see here. Children and the home." She laughed at me. "You are doing more than you could ever imagine. People know about this across the world and support you. Your cause is good Onyx remember that." Her hands drug down my kill lines. "Only ten dead by your hands now. What will it be like when the war starts." I breathed in sharply. "Bloody. My arm will be decorated in red and war lines." She traced down my back towards my rear. I shuttered. "War. Then what. What government will hold us together?" Her lips brushed the joint between my neck and back. "We will. We can make this world a better place." She laughed at me. "What?" "Nothing. You make me laugh." A knock rang in through the room making the dogs bark. I stood away from Violet and slid the door to the side. "Jasper wants to meet in his room in five." Dakoda was looking at the ground and speaking. I covered up my bare chest and nodded. I slid the door shut again. "I will be right back. Stay put." I threw on my top layers and walked down to Jaspers room where Dakoda and his very pregnant girlfriend was waiting. "You didn't tell me about this Jasper." I placed my hand on the woman's belly, eyes going wide. "I didn't know what you would say. The baby is due any day now and I won't be around to care for it. I need a surrogate." The woman said. "A mother who won't be around for her child isn't a mother is it. She's only a cow, for milk and birth." Jasper struck me upside the head. "I need help Onyx. Help me raise the child. Before you know it the baby will be out of your hair. Not that you have much." Jasper pulled my short locks. I batted his hand away and stood. "The baby can stay. But you will need to come back for it someday." The woman nodded and smiled as I turned out. "Dakoda make the arangements. The baby stays in Jaspers room." Dakoda nodded.
When I joined Violet again she was sitting up and now clothed. "What was it?" I slid down onto the fur and stripped my layers. "A baby is on its way and it's Jaspers. The mom will be away." She shuffled behind me and laid her naked form across my back. "A baby might be good around here. It will bring some softness to you people." "Im made of soft spots, it would be better to eradicate them." I reached around and gripped her hip, dragging her to lay on her side facing me. Her fingers wrapped around my breast. "Being soft and being weak are different. You can be both soft and strong." Her free hand went to push my hair around. "My father needs me to be strong. I can't have any soft spots or what I have worked for will die off." I wrapped my arm around her. "You are young. You don't understand yet. Give it time. Now rest. Training will be hard if you don't get the sleep you need." She sighed. I shuffled closer to her, closing my eyes and drifting off quickly.
