Prologue

An underground bunker, Unknown location

"Is the portal ready?"

"I believe so, sir. It appears to be steady."

"Good, good. Is the subject ready for transport?"

"She was a little uncooperative, so we had to give her a mild sedative. She should be awake in a few minutes."

"Good work. The second she is awake, let her know that she will never see her precious Avengers again, and get her through that portal."

"Yes, sir! Hail Hydra!"

"Hail Hydra."

-A few minutes later-

"Sir, she's awake."

"Finally. Is the portal still stable?"

"Yes sir, but there is no guarantee for how much longer."

"Let me speak to her, and then we send her through."

"Hello Winter. Good to see you awake."

"Fuck you."

A resounding smack was heard throughout the room. "Watch your tongue girl."

A moment of silence. "Good. Time to send you through."

"Please don't. Let me stay here. I'll work for you willingly! Please don't send me away.."

Another smack. "Silence girl."

Just before the girl was pushed through, she turned to her captors. "Screw you."

The portal swirled, and blinked out.
