The New Kid

I had a rough first quarter, I remember it as a normal day...till I met him.

~Junior year

I was walking down the hall looking for Austin and I couldn't believe the chatter going around. Something about a hot new Kid or whatever.

I saw Austin down the hall and when I was running to him I completely ran some guy over and fell to the floor.

"Oh I'm so sorry I didn't see you"

I picked up his stuff and once I look up at him my heart dropped.

"It's alright, I should of known not to be standing in the line of fire"

He looked up at me in a caught stare. He was short sorta and not as built as me but nice and what looked to be dimples.

He had blond hair and green eyes unlike mine which were brown and my hair dark as night. As I stared at him I could tell he was uncomfortable so I looked away.

"Sorry, it's just I haven't seen you around here before"

He smiled and nodded understanding.

"I'm the new Kid and well I'm assuming your hearing the chatter so let me break It down for you, yes I'm gay, no I am not a fag and I don't care if I burn in hell"

And with that he walked away with a smile on his face and leaving me with my jaw dropped.

I had no idea where that came from but I didn't have time to think about it. The bell had rang and it was time for gym, let the hell begin.

After 8th hour I saw that kid again by his locker. I couldn't help it so I walked up to him as casual as possible.

"Hey I would like to apologize again about what happened this morning it really was a accident"

The boy looked at me and nodded once again.

"Its fine, let's start over I'm Alex by the way"

"I'm Justin, nice to meet u"

"So how was your first day in a new school." I asked him curiously. He sighed and shook his head.

"Very over whelming, especially with all the girls flirting with me"

He made a gag motion as he closed his locker.

"Well I was wondering maybe if you want we could hangout some time"

He smiled and did a goofy motion with his hands hitting agaisnt his chest.

"Sure why not?"

We took my car to my house and when we walked in my maid was cleaning and my mom was obviously not home.

We ran up to my room and plopped our stuff on the floor.

"So what was all that gay talk?"

I could see Alex blush and look down at the floor.

"I have been bullied a lot by people because I'm gay and well I'm not taking anyone else's crap"

I smiled to myself about this, he was a strong guy being proud of what he is. I popped in a movie and sat on the floor next to him.

Well sense we're friends now you don't need to worry about that. He smiled and we both went silent watching the movie I put in "The Underworld".

A hour later~

"That was a great movie"

I see Alex stretch and stumble onto his feet.

"Yeah"

As I yawn I hear a door slam and my mom yelling. She must be drunk again, I instantly grab Alex's arm and run him down stairs to the door and open it for him.

"I'll see u tomorrow"

And with that I shut the door, I turn around to see my mom standing there with a beer bottle in her hand.

I already knew what was coming she grabbed me by my hair and dragged me into the living room. As she through me to the floor I felt instant pain. She had cut me with her ring again.

"You dare bleed on my floor!"

She grabbed a vase and smashed it on my body. I screamed in pain which only made her more mad.

She then started beating me from left to right screaming insults and cursing my name.

She then spat on me and went up stairs. I slowly got up feeling pain everywhere. I went in the bathroom and bathed the blood away. When I got out the bath water was all red and my body was bruised from head to toe.

I am her only child and this is how she treats me. Just because dad died in that crash and I didn't. She hates me because of it.

As I limped up to my room and locked the door I painfully layed in bed and looked up at the ceiling wondering what's Alex's mom like?

I then wondered what Alex was doing right now. I should give him my number tomorrow. As I was slowly falling asleep my mom started banging on the door screaming for me to come out.

I pulled a pillow over my head and hoped this nightmare would go away and it did. I fell asleep to my life I wish I had. Away from the pain, away from the sorrow, away from my mother...
