"Is the coast clear?" Jae In whispered on the phone. We are at the back gate right now, standing cautiously looking back from left to right.
We look like fugitives but the fun of this moment never gets old. It always feels like playing hide and seek in a much bigger scale!
"Okay. Coast clear" We both heard Youngjae's answer from the other end of the phone.
Jae In grinned at me signaling me to follow her lead. There were students in the area so we just blended in as if nothing is going on. We acted like were chatting just like everyone else. No one noticed of course!
We passed the first two floors and we're now heading to the third floor to the library. Now we only have around 10 minutes before the bell rings for the next class so we started running upstairs.
At the top of the stairs, We saw Youngjae smiling, waiting for our arrival. He exchanged hi-five with Jae In when we reached him and as usual he came ruffling my hair.
"you're here?" he said jokingly
"Yaa!! Stop it" I slap his hands away and he laughed.
"We'll you be okay from here on?" Jae In interjected
"Yep! Thank you guys" I said.
"Here, I got a little something for you" Youngjae took something out of his pants pocket.
"Wow!! You got me a student ID?!!" I grinned from ear to ear. This is perfect! This completes my student look and I'm so happy!
"Ohh! Aren't you a genius Youngjae-ya" Jae In jokingly patted his shoulder while I continue to gape over my student ID. It really has my photo in it and it looks exactly like theirs!
"Well" he said with air of arrogance. I beamed and hugged him.
"Komawo chingu!!" I can't help it! This is one of the best gift that I've received so far.
"Yah! Yah! let's stop this guys if you two don't want to be seen by the prefect" Jae In interjected that same instance, we heard the signal bell ring.
"You two should go now, I'll be fine here" I assured them
with all students going now to their own respective rooms, I watched as the two of them endlessly bicker as well. I feel so thankful for having two great friends with whom I can lean on to.
I went inside the the library where silence hangs all over. I love this place, I love the smell of books and the tranquility it brings. It is my sanctuary.
Like the usual I chose the table on the farthest end where even the librarian rarely comes to. Doesn't really matter anyway since the old librarian doesn't roam that much but just for extra precaution right?
After taking the book which I recently started, I set off now to reading. I'm reading a classic romance by Jane Austen which is Pride and Prejudice. I like the heroine in this book, I like that Elizabeth lives by her own rule and principle. I like that she doesn't just follow orders as given and I like that she's strong.
"I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book!- when i have a house of my own i shall be miserable if i have not an excellent library."
