Taehyung POV
The sky was dark today. Rain was falling lightly, and I had just gotten off from work. I decided to go to the cafe to visit an old friend of mine-- Park Jimin.
.....
"It's raining really hard now, isn't it?" Jimin was slurping his bubble tea in front of me.
I replied slowly, "Yeah... it was only sprinkling just a second ago..."
Jimin began to speak, but I didn't listen to anything he was saying. I just stared out the glass door.
"Hey, are you even listening?" Jimin laughed and knocked on my head.
I quickly snapped out of my daydream.
"Y-Yeah?"
"What are you thinking about?"
"I don't know... I just feel weird today..."
"You're always weird."
"Hey!" I pinched Jimin hard.
"OW!" Jimin yelled.
I laughed and apologized half-heartedly.
"Anyways..." Jimin began, "as I was saying..."
I looked out the window again.
Rain was pouring.
The garbage pile hadn't been taken away yet.
And there was a boy with a dirtied white t-shirt and pants walking around that area.
A boy.
A young boy.
"Hey, um, Jimin..." I cut Jimin off.
"Mm?"
"I have to go. I'll catch up with you later, okay?"
I left before Jimin could reply. I just wanted to catch up to the boy.
.....
"Hey!" I yelled at the young boy I saw earlier. He was walking away now, not even turning to look at me.
"Hey... wait up!" I ran after him, although I didn't know why.
I grabbed his arm when I caught up to him. He was shivering.
"W-What are you doing?" The boy looked at me with wide eyes.
"I... was just wondering why you were around the garbage pile, you know?" I tried to give my best reassuring smile to him.
He looked scared.
"I... It's none of your, um, business." He tried to leave again, but I held on tight to his arm.
"Do you have a home?"
What are you even saying, Kim Taehyung? I needed to have a quick check on myself.
"W-What?" The young boy questioned me. He was clearly shocked.
"Do you... have a home?" I said it slowly this time.
"No... I don't need one... I'm perfectly fine on my own... I think..." The boy whispered the last two words, but it sounded loud and clear in my ears.
"Come on; follow me," I told him.
"I'm not going to follow a stranger anywhere," He said stubbornly.
"I'm not a stranger... I'm nice!" I smiled again.
The boy stared at me a little bit then smiled a cute smile.
"You're not a stranger! You're nice! You are not a stranger anymore! Okay!" He followed me towards my car.
