Strutting into the school building with pride, Juvia flipped her hair and gave a smile to everyone her eyes gazed upon.
'Everyone looks so different', she thought unconsciously gripping onto her bag.
She was so lost in the crowd of teens that she didn't notice her best friend creep up behind her.
"So what you thinking about", Gray whispered in her ear.
She jumped a good 2 inches away from him pushing out her hands for defense.
"You're an idiot", she sighed and lowered her guard.
"Ehh but you like my idiocracy", Gray gave her a cocky smirk.
"That's not a word", she grunted as she turned to walk away from him.
"It is now!", Gray called out to her as he felt a tap on his shoulder.
He swiftly turned around and gazed his eyes upon his lover.
"Blaire", he beamed and picked her up, twirling her in his arms.
"You miss me?", she smirked.
Gray kindly returned the gesture, "maybe", he leaned down and gave her a kiss.
"Let's catch up then Mr", Blaire bit her lip and gestured for him to follow.
A few feet away Juvia stood as she watched the couple walk away making googily eyes at each other.
She scowled.
She didn't want Blaire ruining this year for her, like she did her last.
This year was a year of change for Juvia and she meant it.
She had notice that last year her and gray-sama didn't really connect as much a they did in their first year.
And she had a plan to bring back the connection, she just needed to contain her feelings and recollect her friendship for now.
Juvia stood at her spot for about 5 minutes cursing Blaire in her head, as her blonde friend strutted up to her.
"I honestly still don't see what Gray sees in her", Lucy rolled her eyes.
Juvia jumped back a little before realizing who it was and hugging the life out of her.
Juvia stepped back and shook her head, "Everyone sees something in someone", she shrugged trying to hold in her sadness.
"Juvia don't pretend like it doesn't affect you", Lucy turned to her scowling.
"It doesn't".
"Why do you keep on holding it in, for what? Two years", Lucy squinted her eyes at Juvia.
Juvia groaned, "I can't just not hold it in Lucy, he doesn't feel the same way", Juvia shook her head getting tired of the conversation.
She didn't like people telling her how she felt.
She wants him.
He wants her.
He has her.
She has no chance.
"You never know Juvia he might have this little thing for you, all you have to do is make it burst", Lucy motioned her hands like they were popping out.
"Burst, what the heck is that", Juvia placed her fist on her lips and tried to suppress a giggle.
Lucy looked at her Bluenette friend and smiled.
In her version of her bestfriend's situation, she only saw it as:
She wants him.
He wants her.
