Kristopher
I was sleeping in a world of peace, a field of only green and a sky that was clear. The clouds rolled themselves into different shapes and sizes and broke apart when the wind changed, forming a figure of a cat leaping for a mouse that was drifting away. Birds of red and blue chirped while chasing each other in the air, some left the game and sang a slow melody in the trees. In the tall grasses were rustles from burrowing rabbits that were protecting their offspring.
With a smile, I rolled myself into my side to hug a small lean body that was clouded in shades of red; the color of passion and love. Behind me, a pair of arms wrapped around me like as gentle as a ribbon would. I couldn't tell what shade they were, but I relaxed in the bundle of warmth, closing my eyes to rest them. In this world, I could be happy for as long as I want if only it wasn't a dream. Another body joins but straddles my body. At first, I thought I had another soulmate so I kept my eyes closed by the body leaned closer until their chest was pressed against my shoulder. Their dry lips pressed themselves on my ear, their hot breath clogging my thought. I heard the gentle smack of them wetting their lips before hearing them speak.
"Brother, lend me some money."
I gasp when I woke up, shoving my brother off the bed and away from me.
"What in the world are you doing!?" Glaring at his larger build that was starting to stand up from his fall, I pulled the blankets up closer so he wouldn't see my naked body.
"I told you, lend me some money." I rolled my snake shaped green eyes and brushed a lock of my bleach white hair, that fell in front of my face, behind my ear.
"You know I'm not going to do that."
"Of course you will because you love your homeless brother!"
"No. I don't."
"You're so mean." Jackal pouted his white lips in the attempt to guilt trip me. Which, by the way, was not working. Yes, he's homeless. Yes, he's my brother. But that was his own fault. He had plenty of chances of getting himself a better life by saving his money and working. When he does get a job, he blows off his paycheck on strip and burlesque clubs and after the first few weeks of having a job, he does something to get fired. He is one of those people that blames others but never himself, believing that his bosses just hated his guts when in reality he caused accidents, got in fight with customers and coworkers, or stole money from the system.
I ignore my brother and look over to my Cherry Pepsi alarm clock. It's 07:24 am. It was about time for me to get up. My alarm was set to ring Give me a Reason by Three Days Grace at 07:30 am. I stand up with my blanket and glare over to Jackal.
"Get out so I can get dressed. I have other things to do rather than meddling with trash like you." I told him, making him gasp and grab his chest pretending to be affected by my words.
"I am offended that my own brother called me trash. Eh actually its true but it still hurt! Give me a break I just really need money." He slapped his hands together and bowed a little, looking up at me with pleading eyes. I sigh at his foolishness before waving my hand to make him stand up straight.
"Fine. But only if you leave me alone to get dressed and leave me alone for at least a month, giving you plenty of time to find a job." Jackal threw his hands into the air and then held them open in front of me for me to give it to him. I roll my beautiful eyes and snapped my fingers, popping up Hellians into his hand. Hellians was Hell's currency and it took a coin form rather than paper.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you! You saved my life." He said with relief spread across his face, causing my eyes to narrow in questioning.
"What do you mean by that? You have better not got into any trouble with drug dealers and gangs." I snarl, if he did anything, my reputation will tremble. Everyone knows that he and I are related by blood and come from the Serpentine family line. Jackal laughed shakily and shook his head slowly.
