Falling in Love with a Friend

Prologue

*Sofie POV*
I'm woken up the next morning by something cold.
"Joseph" I yell getting up
"Jewel your boyfriend woke me up again" I groan
"Get over it sis. He is your best friend" she says
"I don't know. I think he's about to lose that title" I say
"What" Joey pouts
"You're the one who keeps pouring water on me" I say
"You're the one who crashed at my place" he says
"You're the one that let me" I argue
"You're the one who won't wake up after an alarm, two people screaming, and a dog barking" he argues back
"Yeah look who's talking the one who will fall asleep during a band meeting" I say
"You're the one who fell asleep at work and almost got fired if it wasn't for me being there to save you" he says
"Guys don't make me call Chad, again" Jewel says stepping in
"Fine I'll stop but tell him to apologize" I say
"I don't have to apologize" he says
"Oh my gosh both of you grab your stuff and get in the car. Joey you're driving and Estrella you're behind me in the back" my sister says
"Please don't call me that" I ask
"Whatever" she says
We go out to the car and Joey heads off to the office. We get there and we're the last ones as usual.
"You guys are late" Chad says
"Blame Joey and Sofia for that" jewel says
"Gosh and I thought you guys were best friends." Caleb says
"We are. We just end up treating each other more like brother and sister" Joey says
"Wǒ yǐwéi wǒmen yǐjīng huò jīhū shì" I say (I thought we already were or almost are)
"Hái méiyǒu wǒ děngdài wánměi de shíkè, dàn hěn kuài" he says (not yet I'm waiting for the perfect moment but soon)
"Ok what was that" Spencer asks
"It's how Joey and Sofie communicate so we don't know what they're saying. They do it a lot at home" Jewel says
"What language were you guys speaking" Chad asks
"Well if we were to tell you we'd end up ruining an important person in anthem lights" I say
"Fine then don't tell me" Chad huffs
"We weren't going to tell you anyways" Joey says
"Alright guys we actually have to get stuff done" Caleb says
"Yo Spence you ok you seem really quiet" I say
*Spencer POV*
Of course I'm ok. I mean I only have a crush on Jewel's sister and Joey's best friend. And I would be lying if I wasn't a little jealous when Joey and Sofie were hanging out.
"Yeah yeah I'm fine. Let's start working" I say
We finish up and we all stand up.
"Hey who wants to come over and hang" Chad asks
"I'll come" everyone but me says
"Spence" Caleb asks
"I'm gonna go for a walk" I say
I grab my backpack and go outside.
*Joey POV*
Spencer walks out and the rest of us keep talking.
I look at jewel and whisper in her ear, "Ich werde mit Spencer reden. Ich glaube, er mag deine Schwester." (I'm going to go talk to Spencer. i think he likes your sister.)
"Ok treffen uns an Tschads dann." (Ok meet us at Chad's then.)
I kiss her cheek then grab my stuff and I walk out. I put my bag in my car then start running looking for Spencer. After a couple minutes I find him sitting in Krispy Kreme's. Of course he is. Why didn't I look here first. I go in and sit across from him at the table.
"What do you want Joey" he asks
"I know you like Sofie" I say
"Of course I do she's a great friend" he says
"Nope you know what I mean. You like her more than a friend" I say
"So what if I do? She'll never like me back" he says
"Spencer why were you quiet this morning" I ask
"Because I was jealous. I was jealous of you and Sofie. How you guys were laughing and fooling around" he says
"Dude I'm dating Jewel. Sofie and I are just best friends. And to be honest she likes you too." I say
"How do you know" he asks
"She talks about you all the time" I say
"Oh ok" he says
"Come on let's go to Chad's" I say
"I don't wanna walk" he whines
"Seriously it's only a block away" I say
"Yeah but my house is only four doors down" he says
"Too bad let's go" I say
I grab his arm and drag him the whole way to Chad's. We get in there and everyone is watching frozen. I make Spencer sit next to Sofie then I sit next to jewel.
"Everything go ok" she ask
"Yep" I say
"Good. I love you" she says
"Love you to" I say
I pick her lips then pillows are thrown at us.
"Hey" I say
"Come on Joe we're trying to watch a movie here. No pda allowed" Sofie says
"But come on you never even let me kiss her at home. IN MY OWN HOUSE" I say
"Because it's like I'm third wheeling and that's just awkward" Sofie says
"Yeah Joseph take a hint. All the times you third wheeled mine and Kelsey's relationship" Caleb says
"Spencer has third wheeled mine and Jewels more than once" I say
"Oh boo hoo get over it babe" Jewel says
I glare at her then get up.
"Well then since I'm not wanted I'll just leave and eat the meatballs by myself" I say
"No don't eat them all. I want some" Sofie says
"To late. You get kale and Beni food" I say
"Wait no Joe you said you'd give us all meatballs" Spencer says
I quickly leave and run off. I keep running till I get to Caleb and Kelsey's which is the next closest.
"Hey Joe what are you doing here" Kelsey asks
"Well let's just say Sofie and Spencer are after me" I say
"Are those two dating yet" Kelsey
"No" I say
Kelsey and I have been wanting them to get together for the past couple of months now and nobody knows about this.
"We should set them up on a date" she says
"We should." I say
"Ok. What does Sofie like" she asks
"Well they both like Krispy Kreme and she works there. They both also like bowling and tacos" I say
"Great. Bowling alley tonight you get Sofie there I'll get Spencer there. We'll have Taco Bell there for them and a box of Krispy Kreme's" she says
"Perfect" I say
I leave their house and walk back to mine. By the time I get there Sofie and Jewel are there.
"There you are babe I was starting to worry a bit" Jewel says
"Sorry I stopped at Caleb's and Kelsey and I were talking" I say
"Ok" she says
"Hey Sofie do want to go bowling with me tonight" I yell
"Ok" she yells back
"You have 20 minutes" I say
I turn back to Jewel and she looks at me.
"What's going on" she asks
"We're going bowling like we always do" I say
"Bowling is Wednesday's today's Friday" she says
"Oh well" I smirk
"Joseph Patrick Stamper what do you have planned" she asks
"Nothing" I say
After a bit Sofie comes downstairs.
"Ready" I ask
"Wait I need to do my hair" she says
"Oh my gosh just come on. Your hair looks fine" I say
"Joey please just do my hair" she whines
"Fine" I huff
I do her hair in a braid then we leave. First I stop at Krispy Kreme then Taco Bell. Then I go to the bowling alley.
"Alright I'll go grab us a lane. You get your shoes and ball then I'll go get mine" I say
She nods and walks away.
J-we're here. The stuff is in lane 4.
K-ok. We just got here. I'll meet you in lane 10.
J-alright
Sofie walks over and then I walk to get my shoes and bowling ball. Once I get them I go to lane 10. A couple minutes later Kelsey comes over.
"You sure you want to bowl" I ask
"Please Joey Caleb never lets me anymore" she says
"Ok" I say
"Joseph"
"Kelsey" we hear them yell
"Let's start bowling" I say
*Spencer POV*
I go the lane that Kelsey tells me to and there's already someone there. They turn around and it's Sofie.
"Hey Sofie what are you doing here" I ask
"I came with Joey but he hasn't showed up again" she says, "what about you"
"Here with Kelsey. She walked off on me to go grab shoes and a bowling ball and said to go to this lane" I say
"Well then" she says
"Ooh is that Krispy Kreme's and Taco Bell" I ask
"Yeah. But Joey's order isn't in here" she says
"What is it" I ask
I look in and see that it's my order.
"That's what I always get" I say
"Looks like we've been played" she says
"Oh well. You still wanna bowl" I ask
"Of course" she says
We start the game and by the end she wins.
"That was a lot of fun" she says
"Yeah it was. We should do it again" I say
"Yeah" she agrees
"Wednesday" I ask
"That's when Joey and I go bowling" she says
"Ok. Next Friday" I say
"Alright" she says
Its real quiet then we hear a scream and everyone crowding a lane.
*Joey POV*
We just finished bowling and are taking our shoes off. We're just about to go up to the counter when Kelsey screams and grips my arm.
"You ok Kels" I ask
"My water broke" she says
"Ok. Let's go I'm gonna take you to the hospital" I say
I use one hand to support her lower back and grab her hand with the other hand. We make our way through the crowd and go to my car. I help her in then get in myself.
"Call Caleb and let him know to meet us there" I say
"He left after hanging at Chad's to go to South Dakota. He had to deal with a family emergency" she cries
"Hey hey ssh it will be ok." I say
"But I can't do it by myself" she cries
"It's ok you don't have to go through it by yourself. I'll go in if I'm allowed if you want" I say
"Ok." She says
"Good now calm down. You're just working yourself up" I say
"How are you so calm" she asks
"I'm not. On the inside I'm not calm at all. But I know if I'm not calm it will just make the situation worse" I say
We get to the hospital and I get out I go over to Kelsey's side and pick her up bridal style so she doesn't have to walk. When we get in someone brings a wheelchair over and I set her down.
"Alright let's get her to a room. Are you the husband" the nurse asks
"No he's the godfather" Kelsey says
"Do you want him to come back" the nurse asks
"Yes please" she says
The nurse nods and I follow them back. We get to a room and Kelsey puts on a hospital gown then lays down on the bed. After about 8 hours Kelsey's holding her baby boy and Caleb is just getting here.
"Thank you so much Joe" Caleb says
"No problem" I say, "I'm gonna head out" I say
Kelsey thanks me and I leave letting the two parents enjoy time with their baby boy.

So this is my new story. I felt like I needed a Spencer Kane one since I don't have one yet. Also, today is Spencer's birthday. He's no longer a teenager. One last thing I don't really like this title so if anyone thinks of a better one please comment or message me one with ideas.  Love you all
