-DAY ONE(A.K.A. Christmas Eve, still a long chapter :P)-

~~Ty POV~~

I woke up to see the spot next to me empty. I shivered a bit and pulled the cover up to my chin. The snow was falling outside. That's why it's so chilly, the window was also open a bit. I rolled my eyes and groaned.  Nice one Adam. Nice one. Where is he anyways? I sat up and blinked a few times. His voice was seemed to be coming from somewhere across the room. He was singing in the shower apparently. Such a weirdo, but that's what I love about him. Besides, I prefer to shower at night, I don't know how he does it this early. I got up to shut the window and changed into the usual. I headed downstairs. On the way out I knocked,"Having fun in there?" He continued for a moment, then stopped and laughed. "Shut up!" "Whatever!" The house was pretty decked out, decoration-wise. We had barely set up our tree last night. Later than usual. It was already Christmas Eve today. The tree wasn't a big tree but it wasn't small either. There were already tons of different ornaments, some white tinsel, and a small star on top. I switched on the light and admired the little tree. We did a good job this year. Everything seemed in order, except one thing. One of the ornaments was missing, a special one too. "Where is it?" I mumbled to myself. I rummaged through the large box in front of me, full of different kinds of wrap we'd used for putting the decorations away. Might've missed it. "It should be here..." Huh. Maybe Adam knows. Whenever I put something in a specific spot so I know where to find it, he always manages to either lose it or move it somewhere else. Typical, troublesome Adam. My husband everyone, bravo. I smiled and faced the hallway that led to the stairway. "Adaaam!" There was a long silence, then the door upstairs opened. The sound of his footsteps echoed down the hall. "What is iiitt?" He emerged the hallway with a towel around his neck and some pants. No shirt. I blushed, feeling my face get hotter, and turned back to the box. "Where's the ornament?" He set the towel down and wrapped his arms around my waist, "Which one?" "Oh, like you don't know." I smirked. He kissed my cheek, "Did you check the other box?" He lifted one arm and pointed to a smaller box next to the tv. "Oh, I didn't even see that one." I turned and walked towards it, Adam still clinging to me. "You're not letting go are you?" "Nope." "Weirdo." "Yep." I rolled my eyes and opened the box. From what I could see, it was all paper. "Oh Ty, you're too careful." Adam smiled and grabbed the box, losing his grip on me in the process. I was actually enjoying the hug and pouted, "What are you going to do?" "I'm gonna find this thing the fast way." I tilted my head in confusion. He walked over to the couch and flipped the box over, all of it's contents spilling onto the floor. I listened for some sort of noise, like a thud. Thankfully but sadly, hearing nothing. I pouted again, worried that we had lost it, and if he had broken anything else. "Adam I don't hear anything.*sigh* I doubt it's in there anyways." I watched as he continued to search the pile, then throwing himself as if it were a pile of leaves. I smiled at his childishness, "Be careful! What if you break something!" "I'm sure we'll find it. Just...not in here. I'm sorry." Now I was dissapointed. For the past three years we've never gone one Christmas without that ornament. Let's just say the ornament itself is more of a, tradition, to us. We had agreed that we would each write something on a little piece of paper and slip it inside, then read the otherspaper Christmas night, It would be something a like a simple note or a small made up poem. It could also be something we hadn't told the other yet, like a secret. Mine was just that, something I've been waiting to tell him for a while but haven't found the right time. I honestly hope I haven't made anything obvious. I thought now would be the perfect time but It won't be the same to just tell him. Besides, I made a fun little game out of it, to make him think. I thought it was cute. I sat on the couch and leaned back, letting myself slide a bit. Adam stood up and he frowned a little, "I'm sure we can find it if we look more." "Yeah..." "Hey, let's not worry too much, It's still early. Maybe we could-" He thought for a moment. I sat up and looked at him. He got down on both his knees so we were at eye level, a small grin spreading on his face,  "A nice breakfast at that little diner we go to downtown. Hm?" He kissed the tip of my nose, making me giggle. "A good way to keep your mind from worrying for a bit. How does that sound?" "Sounds good to me." I smiled and he stood up, standing me up as well. He looked down at me and leaned forward to kiss me. I was already halfway there and our lips connected almost immediately. "Aren't you eager?" He laughed through the kiss. My stomach growled and I pulled away."Sort of, I'm hungry too." "Well then, I'll go finish getting dressed, why don't you find our jackets and we can get going." "Sure thing." He kissed my forehead and started towards the stairs. I headed to the closet by the front door and looked for the appropriate jackets, I can tell It's gonna be cold.
