Short 1: Restless Nights

These nights are the worst, when I toss in my sheets, searching for the comfort that's no longer there. What am I to do, I can't take this much longer, my brain it's racing like the dew on a flower, slipping, falling faster till it falls to no more. This is it, my breathing is slowing, did I find it, are you finally home? Am I safe in your arms once more. No, it can't be, your gone, here no more. My heart is breaking as its falling from this epiphany. Who was I to think you were coming back, no it will never be true. The drive with his one shot to soon made sure of that. You were taken from this world in a blink of an eye. Gone, ill never feel your touch anymore. Stay away from me, these nightmares that are chasing me. I picture you so deep in the ground screaming out my name. But that could never happen I watched your heart beat stop in the seat next to. The shower of glass stream across of you. I saw the pain you were feeling as you looked into my eyes before the fire engulfed you. It's not fair I watched your body burn as I was trapped in place. Screaming out to you as the lights began to appear red and blue as they set me free, dragging me away from you. Now that's all I can see the look in your eyes when the flames reached your body. Why I am I here without you.. It will get better they say, but how can it, your gone and I'm here to stay, baby please come back I need you. This isn't fair, how can you be an angel when I am stuck in this hell. No I refuse I'm coming with you, I need to see your smile, not the burned flesh on your face. Baby no we had so many plans. How could you be gone, we were going to have a family.
