"Annabeth, I'm sorry. But," he sighs looking down, "Im in love with someone else."
Annabeth looks up, almost dropping her laptop, "What?"
She sounds more confused than hurt, it stroke her as odd considering how loving he's been lately.
Percy smile sadly at her confused expression, thankful she wasn't hurt.
"We... Need to break up." His voice sounded sad, but she still couldn't understand why.
She could figure this out. She was a daughter of Athena after all.
And soon the realization hit her full force, dropping the laptop this time, her eyes gazed over the man she loved, she wanted to question but, she couldn't find words.
He looked as pain stricken as she was.
"Annabeth, if you'll accept it, I want to still be friends. While I don't have feelings for you, I never want to lose you"
Then she felt it. A brief explosion behind her eyes, the sadness turning into anger. She raised her hand and struck him. Slapping him hard enough to make him stumble.
He raised a hand to his cheek, "Anna-" his words were cut off by her shoving him out of her cabin and slamming closed the door.
He stood outside and tried to speak to her through the door, but it made the crashing inside worse when his words reached her ears.
Percy made up his mind, he ran off to find piper.
