Chapter 6:
“good morning janine!” tugon ng mama nito.
“good morning ma!” sagot nito.
“you’re father is waiting for you in the garden. Go and meet him there!” tugon nito sa anak.
Janine bowed in respect and went to the garden. There she saw her father talking to someone. When she got closer, she saw a man laughing with her father.
“good morning father, good morning to you!” tugon nito at nag bow sa dalawa. “mother told me you were waiting for me. Do you need anything?” tanong ni Janine.
“this is my friend liam, he just got here from London, he is a lawyer, I was hoping maybe you could entertain him, busy kasi ako sa work so I need you to entertain him, can you do it?” tanong ng tatay nito.
“of course!” Janine bowed and smiled at the guest.
“hi, I am Janine valdez! Nice to meet you!” pakilala ni liam
‘I am liam leonardos! Nice to meet you!” sagot ni liam
Pag alis ng tatay nya ay patuloy pa rin ang light conversation nila. Mga things about the current news and happenings ang kinukwento nito.
“it must be hard for you to be stiff all the time! You can relax when it comes to me! I know it must be really hard on your part!” tugon ni liam.
“sanay na ako! Anyway liam, do you have anything you want to do? Or places you wanted to go?” tanong ni Janine.
“I always wanted to go to boracay and subic. May time ka ba for that?” tanong ni liam.
“syempre naman! Kailan mo ba gusto?” tanong ni Janine.
“kahit kalian ka free! Ikaw ang tour guide ko kaya ikaw na ang mag decide!” tugon ni liam.
“how about we go to bora this Friday, pwede tayong mag stay ng 3 to 4 days then uwi na tayo. After that, we can go to subic by Saturday para maka pag pahinga din tayo! What do you think?” tanong ni Janine
“sounds good to me! Wala ka bang pasok?” tanong ni liam kay Janine.
“don’t worry! I will deal with that! Okay, see you on Friday!” tugon nito sabay alis.
“who did you say you met?” tanong ng friend ni liam.
“Janine valdez, she really is a very elegand lady. Parang hindi ito maka basag pinggan!” kwento ni liam.
“which makes more the hunt exciting!” sagot ng friend nito.
“I’m going home! Pagod na ako!” tugon ni liam.
“what is wrong with me!!!” bwisit na tugon ni liam. He could not get Janine off his mind. ‘get out! Get out!’ tugon nito sa sarili but as usual, wala itong talab, he didn’t get a wink because of that!.
On the phone:
F: who is it?
J: ewan! He seems important kaya I need to accompany him.
F: well, good luck with that! Sige na alis na ako. . .
“what do you mean?” tanong ni france kay liam.
“I mean it, how come wala siyang alam!” tugon ni france. “if you want to tell her go then! Hindi ko kayang sabihin sa kanya e! ikaw na mag sabi!” tugon ni france kay liam.
“what’s wrong?” tanong ni Janine pag uwi.
“nothing’s wrong!” tugon ni france.
“look, you were about to kill each other! May nang yari ba!” tugon ni Janine.
“it’s nothing! Don’t keep on butting to my business!” galit na sigaw ni liam.
“don’t you dare raise your voice against her, kung hindi, you will no longer live to tell your tales!” tugon ni france sabay walk out.
“what the hell was that?” napa tanong ni Janine bigla sa isip nya.
“is something wrong?” tanong ni france kay Janine noong lumapit ito dito.
“Janine, I have to tell you something!” tugon ni france.
“what’s wrong?” tanong ni Janine.
“something happened!” tugon ni france.
“what?” tanong ni Janine.
“Janine?” tawag ni liam.
“oh liam, what can I do for you?” tanong nito.
“I was wondering if you could perhaps join me to dinner!” tugon ni liam.
“sure! Do you want to join us francis?” tanong nito kay france.
“hindi na! may gagawin pa ako e!” palusot nito.
“then, nauuna na kami france! Next time ulet!” tugon ni Janine.
Pag labas ni Janine ay nag tinginan ang dalawa.
“you can’t lie to her like this! She’s a smart person, when she figured out the truth! She’ll be heartbroken!” tugon ni france then umalis na ito.
