"Emilia, you're going to boarding school" my mum said, gently holding my hand.
Two words I thought I'd never hear. Wasn't regular school punishment enough? Fitting in at school is hard enough with my crippling anxiety, how am I going to survive at boarding school?
I loosened my grip on my mums hand "Boarding school? What the hell! You can't just expect me to drop everything and move away again. I've finally settled in here...you know how long it's taken me to feel comfortable here and now you're just going to take that away from me?"
"Em, I'm sorry. I've been offered a better job. Everything is already arranged, we're moving next week. You'll fit in, I promise"
I stood up with such a force that my chair fell over from behind me "how can you do this to me?" A tear cascaded down my cheek.
"Emilia I'm sor-" I left the room before she could finish her sentence.
I hate my life.
