It was now getting closer to fall the leaves changing color the light chill in the air summer was coming to an end and it was a summer to remember for all.

The town was busy with the hustle and bustle of setting up for the dance of the moonlight jellies people were cooking and going over events even the children were in on the fun building little candle boats to set sail out on the ocean.

As for Marcus he was at home pacing back and forth as Jeb sat at the little table. "Marcus why are you even nervous ? I'm sure she will like it." Marcus stopped then looked over at Jeb. "I don't know it she will she's an artist and me well. I'm just a farmer I don't have any talent in this stuff." Jeb only laughed as he got up and patted him on the back. "Marcus she'll love anything you give her she's that type of girl just as you love anything she gives you." With that said Jeb took his leave as Marcus sat down at the table looking over at package he had wrapped before letting out a sigh.

"Three more days until the festival." He said before he got up and grabbed his back pack. "Well I can't worry on it now I best head up into the mountains and see if I can forge up something to sell since my crops are gone for now."

As he left he took a look back at the southern woods and smiled before hiking up the mountain trail in search of spice berries, Sweet peas, and wild grapes that were prized for making great jams and wines and sweet bouquets.

Long and gone Leah came walking up to the farm knocking three times that would signal to Marcus it was her yet no answer could be heard before she opened the door. "Marcus are you home ?" She said as she entered the house was empty his pack gone she knew he had left for the mountains when she spied a package in the corner she walked over and saw the tag "To Leah with all my love" she read and only smiled. "I know what I can do I'll clean up the house and have dinner waiting for him when he comes back" She said to herself as if getting ready for when they would be husband and wife.

Meanwhile up in the mountains it was calm and cool a light breeze kissed the trees and Marcus walked picking up what he found and storing it in his pack. This would be his last forge hunt before fall and what a haul it was. "This will defiantly give me a little extra boost to make fall a good season."

Sure enough as he walked towards Robins house he saw her carrying some blueprints when she waved to him. "Marcus just in time you saved me a trip I have the blueprints for your house upgrade." He smiled as they sat down under a tree robin went on about the bigger kitchen and even throwing in a queen sized bed while going over the time it would take saying it would done and ready by the first of fall.

Laughter was heard as they caught up on things such as Maru almost burning down the house and Robins new saws to Marcus's thumb accident when repairing the fences. Surely enough the sun was starting to set as he slung his backpack over his shoulder and gave her a hug. "I'll see you tomorrow then and thank you I would only trust you with this job." He said as he started back towards home. "I know and thank you Marcus for all you've done" She called back.

Finally home Marcus unloaded his pack into the selling bin when he noticed a light on in his place slowly he walked up and smiled thinking it was Jeb since they met they had become good friends and would normally shared a drink once or twice a week. "Jeb I hope you brought stronger stuff then.." he stopped in mid sentence seeing Leah cooking at the small kitchen she smiled at him. "Well I'm not Jeb but I did bring some homemade spice berry wine." He smiled at her as he sat his pack down and walked over placing one hand on her cheek he kissed her lightly before looking over at the cooking pot. "Well I will say this your better than Jeb and very very welcomed surprise to come home to."

She lightly blushed as she took the lid off the smell of curry and rice filled the room as Marcus went over and sat at the table. "I thought it would be good practice. You know when we get married." She said as she looked at him then over at the package.

"So tell me honey what is in the package over there ?" she said playfully. Gulping and quickly looking over towards the package as a few sweat drops began to form on his face before he grinned and looked back at her. "Ah ha ! Now I know your plan butter me up with good food and wine to get me to tell you whats in that package !" He said jokingly as she puffed out her cheeks then folded her arms. "Oh shoot ! You've found out my plan ! I'll have to try other means to make you talk " She said with an evil grin.

Oh what a nightmare this would be as they sat down and ate and sure enough laughter could be heard as She tried every which way to get him to talk in the end it was a very fun night for both of them as they shared a bed. Looking over at him she smiled as he looked back at her. "Marcus why did you pick me ?" He smiled as he looked up at the ceiling. "Because my heart told me too. When I saw that first time my heart said to me that you were the one I wanted to spend my life with." Word spoken true Leah scooted closer to him and smiled nuzzling into his chest releasing a deep sigh.

A few days went by and it was time of the festival everyone was down at the beach just as the sun was setting music could be heard as everyone enjoyed good food and good times talking about summer and what all had happen.

Finally able to break away Marcus went over the pier where Leah was sitting and mayor Lewis called out "Its time to start let the candle lit boats go." As they sailed off into the sea light glows could be seen as the jellies started to come up towards the docks and the piers Marcus and Leah sat close to each other her head resting on his shoulder as their hands laced together looked on.

A rare jelly swam up right next to them which was a good omen for anyone as they would be blessed with joy and luck.

The town had changed and for the better as the next generation began to finally form the new girl named Lacy had come from ZuZu city to enjoy a life here in stardew valley making crafts and following her dream she was actually an old friend of Elliot's who invited her out here.

"Well well it seems that you all are quiet enjoying yourselves tonight." A voice said from behind them. "As a token of tonight's festivities I would like to offer a seventy-five percent discount at Joja mart" The man in a black suit named Morris said as he offered out coupons. An attempt to get people to shop only their and break the community apart that was what Joja was all about at least in the eyes of some.

Fall was coming and soon winter and only time would tell if Pelican town would remain a community or fall apart.
