"Hey guys! Everything is alright. I will meet you at the park later after today's run. Byyyee." I end the voicemail and look out the window.
Wow it's so pretty outside.
It is already October 25th and has been raining this whole week.
"Mom I'm gonna go outside. See you later!" I close the front door and run down the lawn.
I left the house at 3:30 p.m. and I need to be back at 5:00.
I run to the running track and stop.
Timer out- check
Shoelaces tied-check
Hair tied back-check
Ok. I'm all set.
Ready...Set.. GO!!!
I run as fast as I could down the sandy ground. The wind slapping my face. I pass many trees and the community park. I reach the corner, turn left and keep running straight. Looking down and up, sideways and straight, I make sure I know my surroundings. I look to my left and see the long cold Ocean.
10 minutes have passed and I'm starting to not recognize the area. I slow down and sit down on the bench. It's getting dark fast so I go on my phone and look on a map. "How is that possible? How am I on Madison street?" I turn on my GPS and start walking.
I made it home on time. It's 5 exactly. I can't wait to tell mom what happened. It is still a mystery how I ended up 5 blocks from my house. I usually run 2 blocks. But 5 blocks?? How in the world did that happen?
