Day 1: Run

The next day, I got up at 6:00 in the morning for my run. I put on my pair of compression leggings and my fitness shirt, tied my hair up and put on a nike cap that said, "Just Do It." Easy, right?

I decided to jog around the neigbourhood. I ran up Could Street, across Peshawar Avenue and into Magnolia Park. Through the trees and following the track, I ran around for about 45 minutes and then made my way home. When I arrived back, everyone was up, but looking sleepy. However, thanks to Niall's appetite, he has made breakfast, so I took some leftover egg and bacon before he gobbled the rest up.

"How was the run?" Zayn said with a smirk.

"Pretty good, I feel heaps better," his smirk faded, showing he had already lost his challenge.

And to be honest, I did feel pretty good, and refreshed. For the next couple of days, I ran, but soon, I got pretty tired of getting up early. So one morning, I did my run at 7:00.

It was later but lighter, and the park looked even more beautiful than ever when the sun rose. But because it was October and almost Winter, the sun did seem to get up later everyday. As I was running on this particularly fine morning, I came across a section of the park I had never seen. It was hidden behind some bushes, and was like a whole field inside. It almost looked like someone's abandoned backyard, there was a rusty swing set hanging on a tree, with a ladder to get up the actual tree and a cosy spot. It was cute. But it was getting busy, so I would have to check the rest out tomorrow. As I reversed through the bushes, I turned around and came face to face with a guy.

"I see you have found my secret hiding spot hey?" he said with his Scottish accent. I had to admit, he was pretty cute. I was worried he would recognize me, so I looked down to the ground. He took it the wrong way.

"No need to be embarrassed about it. It's okay."

Well I pushed right back in. "I am not embarrassed!"

He took a step back, "okay, okay."

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to come off rude," I apologized.

"That's okay. It's a pretty sneaky spot, isn't it."

"Yeah, it is," I agreed.

"Better get out before someone spots us and steals our spot." We backed away from the bushes trying to look as least suspicious as we could.

"I'm Will."

"Maribella. But you can call me Mari."

"What a lovely name. What's it mean?"

"I think it means enchanting beauty. What about Will?"

"Don't know. Not a fan of the name to be honest."

I looked at my watch that read 8:46.

"I'm so sorry, but I have to go. Nice meeting you Will."

"Ahaha, Cinderella moment. Nice meeting you too Mari."

I got back to the house and started thinking as I walked through the door. It was weird that he didn't recognize me. Not to be proud, but most people our age do know who I am. My thoughts were interrupted by breakfast. I shouldn't worry about it anyway.
