The Grand

      Act that got everybody buzzing.

Entrance hall

      Brim-filled with estranged strangers fleeting,

Was wide enough,

What a marvelous sight to behold

That his heart was moved

Like the ignorance has come untold.

Overwhelmed with pure joy

Everybody wore their hearts on sleeves

Like that one innocent child

Who loves playing and laughing with thieves

So he started crafting his own,

Joining the soldiers and the 'mongers

He then penned the loom of what was known

    Fitted and accepted from others

To him. So that he would, could, should begin

Trying because why should he not, e?

But it all comes to a but no matter what

Scolded for "You are not here to play"

For this lad was all but the bravest of heart

Nodding his little head, out of fright

Reality started taking its toll

When the crowd crowed with cunning delight

Hidden pendulum of the unknown

Oscillated back and forth to him

Ripping his bliss of ignorance

As the said show went out of the frame

Alas, a great night indeed

Exposed, not a single thing to hide

All was pointless for he,

The naive neophyte without a guide,

Knew that in the end

Matter-not they would keep on cheatin'

It was just that

He was jolly, all smile so pristine.

Wistfully

Wishing he will make it through midnight

Maybe

But only when his cards are played right.
