Your POV
After about a week of waiting for the right moment, Kaytlynn and I finally got the chance to make the hiding spot.
"FOOTBALL! FOOTBALL!" The guys hollered, all of them charging outside. "(Y/N), COME PLAY WITH US!" Vic tugged me by my arm. "Vic, I really don't feel like it." I told him.
"What?! But you've always played with us! You're the strongest one out there. Football wouldn't be the same! Please?!" He begged. "No, not now."
"PLLEEAASSEE??? We can't play with the daisies. We'd crush them. But you...you're rough and tumble."
The daisies are the girls of the pack, excluding myself. They're not the sports kind of type, but I am. God, if they were thrown out there to play football, they'll...well...lose their petals...and get their stems ripped.
"Give me a few minutes, I'll be out there soon." I gave in.
"YAY! Awesome. I was actually starting to think you weren't strong enough." Vic laughed. "Excuse the shit outta me, sir, but I am totally strong enough. FITE ME." I growled playfully. I then ran upstairs and waited for the front door to shut. "Kayt, come on!" I hurried her into my room. I looked out through my window to see Vic walking to the backyard. We're good. "You got the tiny saw?" She asked.
I went to the closet and pulled out the little saw I sneaked from my dads tool box. "Hell yea, I got the saw."
"Ok, I'll move the nightstand." Kaytlynn slid the nightstand over. "Make a square shaped incision in the floorboards. Here, I have a box you can trace and you can use it as walling." I was given the little box and a marker.
"Kaytlynn, you genius. I can't stop calling you that." I smiled, plugging the saw in. I traced the box and now I have my guidelines. I took the saw and followed my marks. Kaytlynn took the pieces of floorboard and kept them in line. "Ok, we have the hole. So now I put the box inside," I slid the box in the hole and it fit, "and there's the walling." I finished.
"I'm glueing these boards together, side by side, so instead of pulling each board out, you just pull all of them out in one try." She got her glue gun ready. "Awesome. Wanna see the thing I'm hiding?" I asked.
"Yyeesss, show me." She nodded eagerly. I went to my closet, found the purse, and pulled out the precious, black rose that Andy gave to me on our wonderful night together. "This is it." I presented the rose.
"Pretty...but why are you hiding it?" She asked.
"Andy gave it to me, that's why." I giggled softly. "What?! When was this?" She asked me, glueing the pieces of floor together. "About a week ago. We went on a date in the woods. He fed me steak, we danced...it was so fun." I sighed with romanticism in every word. "Gurl, you got it made. Then there's me...still trying." She pouted. "You should ask him out soon. You have his number?"
"No." Kaytlynn frowned.
"I'll get it for you." I took out my phone, looking for Andy's contact.
You: Hi, I love you...just wanted to say that 😂.
Andy: You're so cute, I love you too 💖.
You: Babe, I need Kellin's number for Kaytlynn, can you give it to me?
Andy: yea, hold on.
You: ok.
Andy: [insert Kellin's number here cuz idk]
"I got it." I said.
"That fast? Damn, Andy must always be waiting by his phone to get a text from you." Kaytlynn laughed. "What can I say? People just cling to me." I shrugged jokingly.
