Chapter:1

Jamie's Pov

Its funny how someones life can change just by a wink. Its not unfamiliar to me tho because one minute i had the perfect family and the next i was left alone with an abusive father. Like every sad story has a beginning mine started when i was 8. My father was a teacher and my mom was an accountant. Everyday they would take me for a walk around the park where we would play, eat and laugh. Everyone saw us as a perfect family and i thought it would last forever but how wrong was I.

My fathers school had been in a burning incident and all the teachers had to leave to find new jobs. After endless hours of searching for new jobs he eventually gave up. My mothers income was the only thing supporting the family and we would soon become broke. We never went to the park, never took hikes and never were the perfect everyone thought of us to be anymore. My father soon drank away his pain and misery and began to abuse my mother and me. If he ever got the least bit upset he would sprawl out of control. I became really scared of him because i was really young.

I can still remember the day like it was yesterday, i woke up by a loud screech coming from downstairs. This was not uncommon in our house anymore. "F**k" i heard my dad shout. I ran downstairs to ask where mom was because i was terrified at this moment. "She left you" was his reply. My heart shattered into a millions pieces i still cannot apprehend the feeling but it felt like i just lost my life. Who knew a few words could ruin a persons life

Ever since the day my mom left my father expected me to do all the cleaning around the house and to be his beating bag. I would like to say my life was filled with joy again but i cant and i might never will be. Its been 10 years since my mother left and i can barely manage to lift myself from my bed yet alone go to a school where im completely invisible.

You might think i'd go crazy by now because im all alone and have no one to care for me but im so grateful for the internet. And by that i mean social media a place where you can chat to someone and they will never know who you are. Most of my time im glued to my phone on this site called meet and greet. Meet and greet is a place where you can socialize with strangers. You might think its weird i chat to complete strangers but i look at it as an escape.................an escape from reality

First chapter of my new book. You might think its a bit short but i only made this chaptrr to introduce jamie the main character. So you can expect longer chapters later
