In the world of futuristic life the power source is key to survival but when the power source runs out, we all ask the same question, how do we live? We lost all connection. From the maglev train to our bionic limbs. The sky is no longer filled with chattering voices or floating cars but with cries of fear and pain. I Celestia Morgan was raised in a community where we depended on technology but ever since the power went out no one has been the same.

We turn to the eldest of us, to tell us what to do for they have lived in a time where technology didn't rule over life. Where people could depend on others to save them and when life itself could be easy without power. We call them, the Telegrams.

I am a third. My position in the society is cadet. I learn about the way of technology and grow up to do a job of the council's choosing but now of the Telegrams choosing. We dismissed the council of SPIN, super, power, institution, network. They had failed us, they told us that they could make our lives better but they didn't.

My family were in charge of the naturalist system before the power source went out. My Dad built eco safe systems for vegetarian eating and my Mum made sure the plantation waste and growth stayed in control. My sister Rina is a second. Her choosing ceremony was one year ago. She was told by the council she would work in 3D printer clothing designer. She is nineteen and is still broken from the incident. My twenty one year old brother Nyx is a certified UAV pilot and is a second in the community.

My best friends Wes and Raelyn are also thirds and are in my class for cadet training. Ever since the power out people have started to say that the cadet's will never have a proper place in the community because of the power out, but my brother reassure they're just depressed.
