I run down the stairs and before I have the chance to get to the front door my mother stops me "where are you going" she asks me with a stern look on her face. "I'm just going over Melody's house" I ask as I grab my coat "I'll be back by no later than 11 I promise". I kiss her cheek and quickly exit and go to my door before she can say anything else. I sprint away from the house and then start to walk normally again once I'm farther away.
As I'm walking I enjoy the beautiful scenery, the leaves changing colors. Ah I love the fall I say in my head.
I go into the bakery I go to every day and get my favorite pastry "I'll take my favorite today" I tell the baker who has known me since I was 5. He hands me the pastry "it's on the house" he smiles. "Thank you" I say and walk out into the cold autumn air.
My phone rings and I quickly take it out of my pocket not noticing I'm walking in the middle of the street to on coming traffic, until a boy grabs my arm and pulls me close to him. I don't know how to react at first "why did you do that?!" I look at him quickly. "You were walking into on coming traffic, I couldn't just let someone get hit by a car while on their phone." "Well thanks" I say and eat my pastry while looking ahead trying to avoid him. "Well I'm luke" he looks at me trying to make a conversation "I'm Leila" I look up at him.
He had really nice blue eyes, and his hair looked really soft. I couldn't stop looking at his eyes at this point. "So what are you doing on this cold evening?" he asks me "nothing, I'm going to one of my friends" I tell him. The walking symbol turns on and we walk across the street. "Oh nice" he says "um I was actually heading to a movie, and I have two tickets if you wanted to come".
Right now I have no clue what to say, I just met him. Do I go? What if he's trying to kidnap me? He looks around my age maybe I should just ditch Melody and go. He's really attractive. "Sure" I say. "Alright, but what about your friend" he asks "it's fine, I'll tell her my mom wouldn't let me out of the house"
