Warning: depressing, sensitive material, mentions of what would be a Catholic church, but it's nothing religious AT ALL. Songfic. Mad World by Gary Jules P.S It copied funny, so sorry if it looks weird. I tried to fix it to the best of my ability

All around me are familiar faces

Worn out places, worn out faces

Bright and early for the daily races

Going nowhere, going nowhere

Their tears are filling up their glasses

No expression, no expression

Hide my head I wanna drown my sorrow

No tomorrow, no tomorrow

Pillows fell off the couch as the man sleeping on it tossed and turned underneath a thin blanket. A loud thud hit the ground as eventually the blonde fell off the couch. He groaned, trying to free his limbs from the tangles mess that was once a blanket. "Why am I in the living room?" He voiced aloud, standing up and sitting on the couch, rubbing his head. Loud sobs could be heard from above, and the blonde man sighed. "That's right. (Name) and I aren't speaking to each other."

Another cry came from the second floor, this time shouting a name. "Arrrrttthhhuuurrrr! W-why?"   Arthur looked at the ceiling and sighed, running a hand through his choppy locks. It's been like this for two days now, her locking me out of the bedroom, crying in the middle of the night, and ignoring each other during the day time. The worse thing is- "I don't even know what I did."    In fact, he didn't remember anything before this. No, Arthur didn't even know what this fight was about. Another wail sounded and he buried his head in his hands, tears threatening to spill his own eyes. "Why does it have to be this way, love?"   He wipes his face, a few tears leaking out and grabs the blanket again, pulling it over him as he clenches his eyes shut, sniffling as the sobs fade into the background.

And I find it kind of funny

I find it kind of sad

The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had

I find it hard to tell you,

I find it hard to take

When people run in circles its a very, very

Mad world, mad world

Children waitin' for the day they feel good

Happy birthday, happy birthday

Made to feel the way that every child should

Sits and listen, sits and listen   Went to school and I was very nervous

No one knew me, no one knew me

Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson?

Look right through me, look right through me

Arthur woke up late the morning of that horrible night. He cleaned up his mess and headed up stairs, only to be greeted with a locked door to his bedroom. He raised his fist to knock, hesitating for a moment before pounding. "(Name)? D... Darling, aren't you at least going to get something to eat?" When he heard no replied, he continued to speak. "C'mon, love, let's put this silly fight behind us and talk again. Please?"    He paused again, pressing his ear against the door. "(Name)?"    A crinkle of bed sheets was his only reply. Arthur sighed softly. Of course. She's still asleep. He smiled as he started to run back downstairs. "I'll surprise her with a nice gift!" He thought aloud, something he liked to do. He grabbed his car keys and headed out the door to go buy a few things.
