First Date

James had always found Aleks attractive. Ever since they met in person, who couldn't help but watch the Russian. The way he smiled, the way he laughed, and his tattoos. Don't get him started on the boys tattoos! It had been almost three years since James met Aleks and he finally got the guts to do it. To ask Aleks out on a date. At first the Russian laughed, like James was pulling his chain. But when James didn't tease Aleks more about it, the Russian was shocked.

James didn't even know if Aleks was gay, or even bisexual, but he had high hopes anyway. When Aleks agreed, James had a bright smile on his face for the rest of the week leading up to their date. They decided on Mexican food because Aleks was always craving it. And James didn't mind as long as he was with Aleks. When the day came, both men became really nervous. It was Aleks' first date with a man, let alone one of his best friends. And to James, he was still shocked that Aleks agreed to going out with him.

Taking a seat at their table, Aleks looked over at James and smiled shyly.

“What was that for?” James asked teasingly. Aleks' cheeks flushed a bright red.

“It's just. Well, this is like my first...well..” Aleks was stumbling over his words like a high school girl going on her first date. It really did feel like his first date.

“Usually I talk to Eddie about these things, but I can't.” Aleks finally spilled what was on his mind. James bit his bottom lip. He felt bad. Aleks and Eddie were so close and he couldn't even talk to him about his new date. They both decided it was best to keep their relationship a secret until they felt more comfortable with it. Neither minded. It was just hard to not talk about something like that.

James nodded, agreeing, because he was like that with Seamus.

“You can tell him whenever you are comfortable. I just don't want you to feel pressured.” James responded after a few minutes of silence.

“Lets talked about something else.” Aleks mumbled.

“Well,” James didn't really know what to talk about. They knew pretty much everything about each other. Even each other's dumb habits. The waiter came around to their table and grabbed them some drinks, leaving them to look over their menus.

“Eddie has a date tonight too.” Aleks spoke up. James laughed.

“Already? He doesn't stay single for long, does he?”Aleks let out a small chuckle.

“Not really. He was pretty wrecked for a few days, but then he met someone else. I guess they have been talking for almost two weeks now and they are finally going out on a date tonight.” James shook his head.

“I kinda feel bad for the kid. I mean, he really liked Natalie.” Aleks nodded, sighing lightly.

“I think the whole thing became commitment issues. She was wanting to move in together when Eddie is focused more on working right now.” James nodded.

“I think that's how all of us feel. I've noticed that with a lot of “Youtubers”.” James put quotations around the word. Aleks nodded in agreement.

“I wonder who the lucky lady is this time.” Aleks laughed lightly.

“You haven't seen her yet?” James asked, a little shocked. Aleks knew everything and anything about Eddie. Even his love life. The two never kept secrets.
