Chapter 1:New Town,New Friends,Something Strange

Scarlett Avery moves to a new town from Chicago with her brother,Phillip also known as Sky,her mother Jane and her husband Will.She moves because her mother got a new job at Pearse Addond Prep School(PAPS).But that's not the only reason why they moved.Scarlett is keeping a very deep secret from her parents and her brother.She intends to bury it to the grave.Suddenly,the doorbell rang.Jane opened the door.A woman in her mid-40s walked in with her teenage daughter.She introduced herself as Sally and her daughter was Bella.They're the Parkinsons.Sally was a widow when her husband passed away 7 years ago.They gave the Averys a cake.Scarlett invited Bella to her room.Scarlett was freaked and weirded out by Bella's enthusiasm.She seemed to loved everything.She thought that it was unusual.Bella went to the bathroom while Scarlett went downstairs.She kept entertaining Mrs.Parkinson but everytime Scarlett would talk to her,she would pause for about 10 seconds which made Scarlett more freaked out.The Parkinsons left immediately which relieved Scarlett.A few hours passed,Scarlett went to bed.By the time she woke up she realized that it was the first day of school.But a suitcase appeared in front of her bed.A suitcase that was never known by her.A note lies there saying "For you".She was weirded out because of the gift.She took it with her to PAPS because it turns out that it was a suitcase full of brand new branded clothes.When she got there,she realized that it was a big school like it was a campus university or something."This is a whole new start of us",she said to Sky and thens she Thank & hugged him.They went inside.It was an old school.Built in the 1800s.Haunted by ghosts and possesed many tales.But some of them are fake.Scarlett was dignified because she wanted to start fresh.Wanted to leave her haunted past behind.But what happened to her past that she wants to forget.Scarlett saw Bella and a more attractive girl talking to her.That must be the Alex that she was always talking about.According to the students,Alex,short for Alexandra is the Student Body President,Cheerleader,Homecoming Queen,and 2nd Prettiest Girl in School.Payton Gluckman being the first.So basically Alexandra's perfect.No possible flaws.But something occured to Scarlett,it's the exaggerated enthusiasm of Bella.To her,Bella seems to be strange.She aslo met the Queen Bee slash mean girl, Katherine or Kate Hudson.Kate was vicious,cruel,naive,spoiled,and rich but had a soft side for her friends and family.During orientation,she heard a useful but a "no-one-cares-about comment" from one of her fellow students.That student was Matteo or Matt Summers,the principal's nephew.For her,there were only 6 people that seemed normal.They were Sky,her parents,Alex,Matt,and Kate even though she was weird.Everyone else was strange for her.She thought that they were robots being controlled by a psychotic person.But that was just a theory.They're strangeness was the highlight of Scarlett's thoughts.She promised to never rest until she figures out what was wrong.When she first met Alex,she thought that she was snobbish and pretentious.But that was before shoe got to meet her.She was sweet and caring.

Scarlett's POV
Maybe that's why Alex is Bella's best friend.Alex is the morning sunshine of Pearse Addond.When I went to the canteen,Bella just tackled without any reason that I know of.It made me have a nosebleed.Alex,Sky,and Matt quickly ran to me.But before they could get to me,Bella slapped,punched,and attacked me.

Dont you dare steal my best friend your creep.Bella said white still attacking me.

Principal Martin arrived

What the hell is going on here.She Said Angrily

The Guards picked us up and brought us to solitafy confinement.

Okay,one by one.Scarlett you first what the hell happened!She said with a frown.

She tackled me for no reason.

Bella attempted to attack me once again but we were both handcuffed to the chair.

Bella!Stop this nonsense.Principal Martin said.

There is a reason why Bella attacked you.She added

Bella spoke up and said:She was stealing my best friend Alex.

How come you think that she was stealing your best friend.She said confusingly

Because I saw her hanging out with her an hour ago.She responded without any doubt

I interrupted and added,This is the first day of school,I met her two hours earlier,we hung out for an hour and you thought I was stealing her,that's ridiculous.

The room became quiet but that was before I noticed Bella's were facing the opposite side while her mouth seems to be exploding.

Principal Martin stated,For your maturity of not fighting back and telling the truth Ms.Avery,you will not recieve any form of punishment.As for you Ms.Parkinson,because you showed deameaning and nonsense behavior,you are hereby expelled from Pearse Addond Prep School.

I saw the horrid look from Bella's eyes.

Umm,Principal Martin,you can't expel Bella.She was just confused.

I'm sorry Ms.Avery but she showed undisciplined behavior.There is nothing in the world that will make me alter my decision.She said with dignity.

I couldn't outspeak Principal Martin.

You know ,Ms.Avery I was just as pretty as you when I was a teenager.But now I'm old and a senior.

My mind was shocked.Wait,I thought you were in your mid-30s.

She laughed indistinctly.I'm 73 years old.

But you look young.What do you do to stay in that way.I asked

I don't drink liquor nor smoke,maintain a healthy diet and exercise oftenly.

Mrs.Parkinson arrived.

She looked like she was going to burst into tears.Oh poor little Mrs.Parkinson.

Mrs.Parkinson,it's very afformative of you to be here so quickly.I am terribly sorry about you daughter's expulsion.She attacked newcomer Scarlett Avery for no apparent reason.She said regretfully

I understand Principal Martin.Mrs.Parkinson responded calmly with no doubt.

Principal Martin left to get Bella's expulsion documents.Scarlett stayed quiet not until........

My eyes widened by what she said to me.It's like my heart s going to melt but it won't.
