Hi, my name is Victoria Alden. I'm a pretty normal girl, or until 6 years ago that is. I met Louis Tomlinson and  we started dating. No, I'm not Simon's niece or a friend of a sister or anything like that. I just happened to meet my soul mate. Thank you God for that. I'd always liked the band's music and I know some things about them, but I just didn't have time to obsess over one thing.  We met by chance, when we both happened to be on a cruise. I was celebrating with my friends after we graduated from college and he was trying to get away from everything for a while. Being on a boat, we couldn't really avoid each other and since I didn't get all star-struck around him, (or at least visibly), he talked to me. It was for 2 weeks and by the end of the cruise we had exchanged numbers and become pretty close friends. A year of flirting and friendship later, he asked me out. Of course I said yes. We've had a wonderful relationship and I wouldn't trade him for anything. I suppose you could call this a diary, but it's more of a journal that I'm just recording my life in. Yup, that's a diary. I'm just not a cliché girl, but I want to remember my life when I'm older! My grandmother had memory loss when she was older and it was pitiful seeing her not remember us, her life, sometimes even her own husband. If that happens to me, I can read this and at least it will be like a book. Anyway, I don't want to write all of my dating stories here, way too time consuming. I will begin with this morning, my 5th Christmas as Louis' girlfriend. We both wanted to be with our families, so that's how we spent Christmas Eve, but late last night Louis began the flight all the way here, to Georgia, USA. He got here at about 8 in the morning, but I didn't see him when he first got here. I already had hot chocolate and cookies out, because I KNEW he'd be tired. The doorbell rang and I went to answer it. it was weird though, Lou usually barges on in. I opened it and nobody was there. Odd.... I turned around and then I heard the opening notes of "All I Want For Christmas Is You." Louis KNEW that was my favorite Christmas song and I thought he just had a stereo playing it or something, but NO, bigger surprise than that! He started singing it himself and that sexy voice slowed the song and made it deep and wow, oh dear, I'm rambling. I was just mesmerized by his voice. So sweet, hot and angelic all at the same time. ANYWAY, after he was done, I started to hug him, but then he got down on one knee! He pulled out this blue velvet box and inside was the most beautiful ring. A circular diamond in the middle, 4 smaller, square diamonds around it. It just GLISTENED. He said, and I quote, "Victoria, will you do me the honor of marrying me?" Of course, I squealed and said yes. His face when I told him that was precious. He was genuinely so happy. I've been writing this while Louis was in the shower, so I think I will go now that I hear him getting out. Dear Old Me, if you're reading this, I hope it's for the smiles and laughs and not for remembering our name.
