Matthew was so excited. He had become friends with Levi and found out today was her birthday. He still stuttered around her though. He couldn't help himself though. Levi was just so pretty. 'I hope she likes my gift', Matthew told himself.
"How do you like my present?" Mary asked her big brother. He was babysitting her while there parents went on a business trip.
"You wrapped that very well Mary," he smiled at her. Mary beamed.
"When is she going to be here?" Mary asked. "I can't wait to meet your girlfriend."
"She's not my girlfriend," Matthew blushed beet red.
"Matthew and Levi, sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G." Mary sang at the top of her lungs.
"Mary," Matthew groaned. "Go get in the car. Its time to go." they raced out to his 99 Chevy cavalier. He drove to Levi house to pick her up.
"Hi Levi," Mary shouted.

They got the bowling ally at about noon. Levi had never been bowling. It was so much fun, even if she was very good at it. Afterwards they played in the arcade for a while, and headed to Matthew and Mary's house.
"My present first," Mary said after they had cake and ice cream. Mary handed Levi the carefully wrapped gift. Levi opened it and smiled. It was a snow globe. There was a mermaid statue and all shades of blue and white glitter inside a glass jar of water. It was hot glued to an upsidedown bowl, and was painted like water.
"Do you like it?" Mary asked.
"Yes I do," Levi answered.
"I made it myself."
"You did an amazing job.," Levi complemented.
"Here's mine Levi." Matthew handed her a small box. Levi opened it and gasped. Inside was a thin, long gold chain. On the end was a mermaid. The tail was a solid emerald, with a solid gold body and amethyst tank. The hair was crafted of a solid ruby, the face had tiny sapphire eyes and tiny ruby lips. Levi looked up, her eyes wide.
"I saw it and immediately thought of you," Matthew told her.
"Its beautiful. Thank-you," Levi finally got out. She looked at him and smiled.
