Pressing his back against the cold tile wall, Asher quickly glanced around the corner, cursing quietly under his breath when his gaze landed on the two guards standing outside the storage room. Sighing, he lightly hit the back of his head against the wall, slowly forming a plan. His gaze flickered down to the metal bracelet wrapped tightly around his wrist, lightly running his fingers over it. It's been there for a few days, of course Asher easily could have broken it but he had to wait for the perfect moment to let all the anger the offending scrap of metal was holding back, out. He quickly placed his fingers on it, concentrating hard and ignoring the searing pain as he accessed his powers, and waited for the small bracelet to melt slightly until it was soft enough to slide over his hand. Sometimes not being able to be harmed by heat comes in handy. As soon as the bracelet fell he felt the anger running through his body, causing his appearance to change. He felt the bloody tears stream down his grey cheeks causing a light smile to form on his face, it's been too long since he's been in this form. He glanced down at the long sleeves of the broken straight jacket that hung way below his hands, willing a small flame to appear and burn them up to his elbows, revealing his dark grey arms.

Tying his, usually black but now bright red, hair back with a small piece of fabric he had ripped from his pants, he casually walked around the corner, his bare feet padding softly against the tile floor and catching the guards attention.

“Hello boys.” He grinned, his appearance causing both guards to jump slightly.

“Asher! What are you doing out of your room?” The first guard asked, his eyes traveling down to Ash's sharp teeth.

“Oh, I just got so restless.” The young killer responded, his Irish accent coming out thick and deep, “I figured I'd take a walk.”

“And your bracelet?” The other man asked, fear evident in his voice, “What happened to it?”

Asher couldn't help but laugh at the man, brushing his red bangs out of his face, “Oh, that thing? It broke, you guys really must work on your quality of security.”

“Alright, well I think you've had a long enough walk.” Guy number one said, stepping towards the fuming boy.

“Don't touch me!” Ash roared, a bright flame appearing in front of the man, causing him to jump back in fright, “You have no right to touch me, after everything you all have done. All you deserve is to die!” He spat, his mind drifting to all the times the staff at this damned insane asylum hurt their patients, himself included.

“Alright, just calm down-”

“Calm down? Calm down?!” He hissed, a fire appearing in front of the man once again, this time closer and causing him to let out a shriek of pain as one of the flames came in contact with his leg, “How could I calm down?! After everything you have done, I don't even know why I haven't killed you yet!”

Abuse is one thing Asher has never been able to understand, how could one hurt someone for no reason? He believes the only reason to cause harm to a person is if they truly deserve to be hurt, that's the only justification he could ever think of.

“Please Asher, we have done nothing wrong.” The guard said, nursing the nasty burn on his leg lightly with his hand.
