Lana’s POV
Outside the little chapel, the birds were singing and Paul stood next to her with a rather fatherly smile. He had agreed to walking her down the aisle, and Lana wouldn’t have anyone else. Her maid of honor was Waliyah, since she had gotten close to her fiancé’s sister over the time spent on planning the small wedding.
There were only about a hundred guests, all accounted for. And Lana, at twenty years old, a worldwide artist, dancer, and singer, still felt nervous when faced with a crowd. Her only resolve was that inside the chapel, waiting for her, was the man of her dreams, and that they were only one step away from sealing the deal.
Lana glanced down at her dress once again, at the long veil covering her face and the bouquet of white roses and calla lilies. “Nervous?” Paul asked, as he raised his arm for her to take it.
“Of course. I’m about to get married, who wouldn’t be nervous?” She said. Paul only chuckled. Before she could send him a witty remark, music started to play inside and the doors creaked open. Lana’s heartbeat hastened and her breathing hitched. “Don’t worry. Zayn’s whipped, he isn’t going to run away screaming from the altar.” Paul said.
“What if he does?” Lana fretted, making Paul chuckle again. She slapped him on the arm just as the doors opened wide and she was faced by a beautifully decorated chapel, filled with flowers and trimmings and people with smiling faces. She found Zayn’s mum with tears in her eyes, Waliyah already stood at the altar, along with Harry, Niall, Louis, and Liam, who were all Zayn’s best men. Lana smiled as she saw Niall plucking Here Comes the Bride on his electric guitar. But then she saw Zayn, looking as handsome as ever in a black tuxedo with a white rose in his suit pocket, smiling at her like he knew that everything would be alright.
She couldn’t help it. She started to cry, silent tears trickling down her face and a wide smile on her lips. The lips, that would later on say “I do.”
“Zia, come back here. Don’t touch the piano when your hands are dirty.” Lana reprimanded, trying to get hold of the pesky five year old girl with hair the color of hers. But her daughter just laughed and smiled, blinking her big brown eyes at her mother.
“Give her a break Lane, her hands aren’t that dirty.” Zayn said, pecking Lana on the cheek and giving her a smile.
Lana, like always, gave up and let Zia play a little tune on the baby grand piano. “What time are the boys going to be here again? I told them the party would start at two, but they’d probably be here earlier than that to play with Zia.”
Zayn smiled and rocked the baby boy in his arms, brushing back the tuft of dark hair on his head, it was little Landon’s second birthday and they were having a small party for him in the backyard. There were already balloons tied to every post and the pool was filled with inflatable toys.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang. “That’d be them right now.” Zayn said as Lana went to get the door. And sure enough, there were the boys, along with their respective girlfriends and fiancés. Harry and Sera, Niall and Farah, Louis and Maddi, and Liam and Dee, smiling back at them with presents in their hands, all trying to catch a glimpse of the birthday boy.
Later on, with the party in full swing, someone, no one was exactly sure who, nonchalantly mentioned that One Direction had all found the thing everyone was looking for, that crazy little thing they called love.
Okay guys! This is the last of Let’s Call It Love. I know it’s a short story, but that’s what I meant it to be. Anyways, I’m working on other stories, so check them out! This story was just made to remind you all that anything can happen, even a popstar falling in love with a simple, normal girl like Lana. Good bye!!
