Wendigo- a cannibalistic evil spirit native to the forests of the Atlantic region and the Great Lakes region. It may appear as a humanistic monster, or as a possessed human. It's often associated with cannibalism, murder and greed. Humanoid body with the skull of an elk or deer for the head.

This is the story of a part Cree hunter and her never ending fight to hunt the beasts to extinction.
I could smell him. The scent of rotten flesh and death filled my nostrils with each intake of breath. I held my bow tight in the ready position. He was close. If I wasn't careful I would be his next victim. I could sense him. He was close. I carefully walked around a tree to see my target. He was distracted, with the remains of a hiker. It's sad to say but this makes my job a little easier. I put the arrow in the notch, aimed and fired. With one shot to the back of the head my target was down. He reverted back to his human form before he disappeared. I caught a glimpse of him before he did. He was one of the missing hikers that had been missing for about a month on one of the local trails. He must have been chowing down on some innocent soul, who decided to take a walk on a moonlight night. It's sad really. Excuse me for my manners. My name is Trinity Rain, and I'm a wendigo hunter.
