Prolouge:

"How could you do this to me!" Isra screamed at her mother. Mrs. Sae tried, and failed, to calm her daughter down.

"Isra, can't you see it's for your own go-'

"NO! it's for your own good. You are selling me off to some stranger for money. "

"It's not like that. We need it for the famiy Isra, please understand," Mrs. Sae said patting her slightly swollen belly.

"I always take one for the famiy," Isra spoke, as tears poured down her face. "I dropped out of school for the family. I work 6 shifts a week for the family, and I'm only 10 for god's sake! And now I have to get married for the family! " Isra yelled, before stumbling down the hallway into her bedroom. Tears threatened her vision, and she flung herself on her small narrow bed crying. Minutes... maybe hours, she lay there until she had no tears left. Isra wiped her watery eyes and stared at the dirty yellow wall in front of her. She had to get out of this, no, she needed to get out of this. She would no longer follow her parent's decision like a blind mule.

Isra dragged her feeet to the old dell desktop in the corner, and booted it up. She prayed it didn't make to much noise as she walked to her small closet at the other side of the room. Taking her old school bagpack, Ista began shoving in all her clothes, which weren't a lot, and some other neccesities.

She hurridly zipped her over stuffed backpack, and made her way over to the computer. Seeing life the hard way, had made Isra into a tuff ten year old.

She popped up a browser and seared up 'airplane tickets to America' Clicking on the first response, Isra looked at the amount of money to buy a ticket. her eyes widened, and she took a deep breath, before reaching unnder her small bed and pulling out a black box. Isra smiled sadly, looking at all the money she had ever earned. It wasn't a lot only 10,000 Euros.

She picked up the box, and looked both ways in the hallway before walking out. She spotted her dad's wallet sitting on the coffee table and smiled, too easy. She quickly sprinted to it and took out a plastic card. Placing the box under the table, she walked back to her room. Hopefully, whenever they found it they would relize that Isra had not left them broke.

How could this plastic thing be worth so much Isra thought while scrutinizing the rectangle in her hand. Wasting no time, she punched the numbers in the computer and some other imformation Isra smiled in triumph.

She had purchased a ticket. Printing the ticket, Isra closed her computer, shoved her back pack under the bed, and sat down just in time.

She heard a knock on the door and her smile faded.

"Come in"

Her mom walked in the room, giving her a sad smile. She sat down next to Isra on the bed, and the old bed protested and squeaked. Mrs. Sae took her daughter's hand, and instinctively Isra pulled away.

Hurt flashed through her mother's eyes and Isra almost felt guilty... almost. Once again taking Isra's hand, Mrs. Sae clasped onto it, resttraining her from moving.

" Isra, I know this is unfair, but we need the money for the baby. We want her/her to have a good home and a good invironment. We want your brother/sister to live nicely and not endure the pain we do."

Mrs. Sae spoke in a sad, gentle tone and reached into her dress pocket taking out a string of pearls.

"I want you to have this, and always remember us. Your father and I love you so much and if we could we would cancle the marrage but you know we can't."

" More like you don't want to," Isra muttered turning her head away.

Softly smiling at her daughter, Mrs. Sae clasped the braclet on Isra's hand, and wordlessly walked out of the room.

Isra looked at the pretty pearls on her wrist. As much as she wanted to take it off and chuck it at her dusty wall, she didn't. After all, it would probably be her only connection to her past.

Locking the door, so no one would come in for a while, Isra slung the backpack over her right shoulder and put the card and ticket in the front pocket. Quietly opening the window, Isra pushed the back pack out then herself. it wasn't a great hight, since they lived in a 1 floor ranch and quite easily Isra was walking away from her old life.

Watch Out America, Here Comes Isra.

Okayy so if you are confused Isra ran away from an arranged marrage. She wasn't getting married then but when she turned 16 but still it was arranged and her family was getting paid.

So she ran away to America... and she finds trouble there. :)
