It began with a man set to sea, traveling with his family to find sanctuary before his foreshadowed death. He had predicted in his dreams that there was a creature with so much power that could consume the world in eternal darkness. He felt the need to kill this creature, despite his dreams warnings of death. He had traveled through and through his village, preaching his dreams to the people. They all refused to listen, shunning him and banishing his family to the sea where the creature ruled. Only his family believed him. His wife terrified to leave her only husband, followed the husband to sea. Though she was one of the villages priestesses, she believed that her husband had saved her from the villages slavery, therefore, she could not leave her husband to die alone. The man's grandparents, who were great hunters, also went with him to sea, hoping to stop these absurd visions. His brother, young and full of ambitions, left with him to the sea. A great storm filled the skies, vast ocean shook as thunder roared in the clouds. Muffled words came to the man, spoken in a strong tongue that he did not recognize, but somehow understood, "bring me the child, and I shall grant you your life." Before he could comprehend the words he had heard, the boat crashed under a wave, causing him and his family to sink under the sea. The last thing he saw was a large creature, dark as death itself. His eyes opened to the night sky, stars and the bright full moon filled his vision with amazement. He, along with his family, had lived that night. They were sent to an island, their sanctuary. Another voice came, but this time from the ocean and all of his family could hear the divine words of their savior. "I am the one who saved you, you are brought to my island, where my children rest in slumber. I am the one who sent you your dreams, young traveler. For your bravery loyalty to your loved ones, your family is granted each a wish." The Traveler held onto his spear, this creature was the "Bringer of Death", the one he saw consume the world with its power. "If you wish to kill me, then so be it, your family will still be able to have their wishes be granted, but my death will be the end of your wish." The man released his hand from his spear, he turned to his grandparents with humble eyes. The hunters stepped up to the creature, wishing for  plentiful food for eternity. Soon a great wave that carried a mountain of fish crashed onto the island. Now the family and their generations would never become hungry. His brother was the second to speak, he had wished for a great sword to be made for him. With that, the creature opened his mouth. "Take the loosest tooth, that will be the blade of your sword." With incredible strength, the family helped the boy pull the tooth from the creatures from it comes. It shined as bright at the moon. The last was the man's fragile wife, she came to the creature with fear and hope. She had wished for a child, in which the creature spoke. "In nine months, you will be able to have children. I will break your curse of infertility. The first child you will have will be a healthy boy, bring me the child. From then on you will the rest of your children." The wife agreed to the creatures opposition, however, the traveler questioned the creature. Asking what would happen if the refused to keep the child for their own. "Then the child shall kill you with your brother's sword, take all of your food and swim to the ocean to live with me and my children." The man and his wife did not ask any further questions about their son. Instead, the brave man stepped forth, asking nothing more than the punishment of those who called him a fool to set his journey to kill the mighty creature of the sea. Almost grateful, the creature, announced him answer in a mighty roar. "You old village will be set on fire, plagued with insects and rats, and be forced into cannibalism for their crimes against you. Is that what you truly want?" at first, he alone thought of himself, hoping for them to be punished for their actions, but then he realized they were not wrong for disapproving of his actions. He too would be in disbelief if they were told stories of such a mighty creature, and never actually had seen them with their own. "These punishments are cruel, I only wanted them to see the truth. Not to kill them." The creature laughed at the man's foolish stupidity. "Your wishes do not come from the brain, but from the heart and soul.. not only that, are you saying you would rather keep them than avenge my powers? It's is already too late, I know what you truly want, and your village is destroyed." The man felt his heart drop, his village was his only home, besides the sanctuary that was granted to him by the creature. He felt obliged to go back and save them from destruction. Did he really want them to die for not believing in his words and knowledge? As it was so, the divine creature gave them the sanctuary he and his family wanted for many years. They built homes for themselves and their future children. Their family lived a prosperous life together on the island. The man's wife had given birth to a healthy boy, like the creature had said, but the child had distinct marking and its body. A dorsal fin grew on his head as he continued to grow into his teenage years. The creature never returned to retrieve the child, not until the night of the sixth moon did the oceans erupt into massive waves. The child, descendant to the mighty creature, had drowned the traveler's brother in water. He had poisoned the grandparent's food that night at dinner. He had slit his father's throat with the sword the creature had given to the brother. His  mother could only watch in horror as he continued to kill his own family. The child felt the sorrow in his mother's heart. He spoke with the same tongue as the creature. "Come, mother, live with Orcinus and our children, you will be healthy and will be able to become our priestess of the ocean." The mother refused his offer, and instead of killing her, he simply understood her position and left the island. He took the sword, the rest of the untainted food, and a pint of his father's blood, before coming to the god of the underworld, Orcinus. "You have done well my child. Your mother will live here, men will come for her soon, they will treat her as a queen and worship her." The god's son did not speak when he entered the oceans domain, nor did he comment on his sudden ability to breath under water. For all of his life, he knew about this day, with no fear and regret of what came on that day. After he returned to the ocean, he became the lord of orcas, marrying a magnificent queen, Lady Astrial mother of all orcas. The child's name has been given by the gods, being known to all that worship him, as Lord Orcinus.
