OLIVE P.O.V

Olive didn't remember much. All the peculiars kept telling her how gushy Enoch was when he saved her life, and how she should 'pay him a visit'. She didn't get what they meant. But how could she remember when she almost lost consciousness from being frozen to death?

They also kept telling her to describe how 'it' felt. Olive had no idea what they were talking about.

She did remember one thing, however. Only a sliver.

She heard him say something, bits and pieces of it. Olive heard him say that he never realized something. It thundered through her mind; what did he never realize?
She never really had the guts to ask him herself. Olive knew Enoch ever since she joined Miss Peregrine's home. He's not really the type of person who would spill out what happened. Maybe it was something embarrassing?

It was five hours after they boarded the sunken ship that Emma had brought to the surface again. The children had not changed a bit.
Fiona, the quiet syndrigast with the ability to make plants grow, was rather unhappy that there was nothing for her to do, however. Luckily, Hugh kept her entertained with showing her tricks with his bees that he had been practicing.

Olive had the job of watching over the rest of the children, and Emma had to take control of the rudder, because Miss Peregrine planned to take ahold of her bird form and fly off, searching for anything to eat.

It was getting dark, the early stars twinkling in the weak sunlight. The younger peculiars were already yawning, and were very tired. Olive shooed them to bed and to get some rest. The only one who hesitated to go to sleep was Emma. Even though she had to take control of the rudder wheel, Miss Peregrine would be back soon.
Olive sighed and she gave up on trying. "Emma, what's wrong?" She asked, hiding her impatience, because she too was also getting a bit tired. Emma sighed, slightly turning the wheel.

"What if..What if Jake never comes back? What if he doesn't care at all?" She questioned, her voice soft and quiet. Her eyes gazed into the distance of the dark ocean. Olive frowned. "Emma, don't be ridiculous. Jake will come back," she reassured her, crossing her arms. It was so obvious she had feelings for Jake. Olive couldn't help but smile. "Even if he won't  come back, Emma, I'll make sure to get him for you." She said, and winked at her.

Emma stifled a laugh and brushed her blonde hair behind her ears. "Thanks, Olive. Now, shouldn't you be in bed?" She said, her eyes still ahold of where she was going. Olive smiled slightly and nodded, and walked towards her room, closing the door behind her.

She heard distinct giggling in the other rooms. Olive sighed and opened the door again, and entered the room with Hugh, Fiona, The Twins, Claire, Bronwyn, and Millard in it. "What's so funny?" She asked, signaling them to be quiet. "You all shouldn't be up this late."

"We were talking about-" Millard started, but Bronwyn put her hand over his mouth. "Nothing. We were talking about nothing."

Olive tilted her head in suspicion. Nothing? It didn't seem like nothing. They were all gathering around in their pajamas, sitting in a circle. Olive shook her head. "Whatever it is, go to sleep. There's a big day tomorrow," she said, and closed the door.

A split second before she closed it, she heard the word 'Enoch'. That reminded her; What about him?
She hadn't seen him all day. Probably because he was busy with his so-called 'work' in his room.

Just thinking about him made her heartbeat do a somersault. Why was everyone talking about him? And why were they talking about her as well? Surely it wasn't about him saving her life. Unless...

Olive shook her head and pushed the thoughts to the back of her head. It was late, she needed sleep. Maybe she'll talk to him tomorrow.

As she entered her room, she took off one black glove from her hand and lightly threw a flame at an unlit candle standing on her wooden shelf. Olive softened her pillow, and lay down on her bed.

Olive closed her green eyes, and quickly fell asleep.

Luckily she didn't wake from all the giggling in the opposite room.
