Let's Take It From the Top

It all started on Sunday, fitting right? A story starts on a Sunday instead of a Monday. Well obviously someone did, and that someone was no one other than Alicia McCarthy, but we'll get to who she is and everything in a minute.

Right now, I need you to picture this: A 15 year old black girl.

Simple enough, right?

Good!

Now picture that girl with box braids, acne, fat (or "curves") and short.

Got it?

Great because that's your main character.

Not some beautiful bottle blond, not an insecure hot girl, but a girl that can barley pass for average in looks.

That girl is me, Hja Thomson, pronounced AY JA. It literally means "she" and "they". Once again regular girl, nothing special, not even my name.

Now that you have your protagonist you get a setting! Yay!

Now picture an a tiny house, rundown, shabby, weeds devouring the house. Now smack a sign in front of it that says "Lapel's Chapel" and that's your setting. Once again nothing special, so don't get your hopes up.

Everything that happen that Sunday in that Chapel changed me completely. For better or worse I'm not sure. . .
