We head downstairs. I can't believe I'm going to Paris with Edward. I've been here for only a few days and I'm going to France for a job. Wow. That's a major self confidence boost. I feel really proud that he chose me to go take photos. In the parking lot is a running mustang, the lights are shining bright due to the darkness of the late night. Harry sits in the driver's seat, so Edward opens the back door. I climb in happily. A company camera is on the seat next to me. "I told you she would come." Harry smiles as Edward climbs in. "Thank God you were right." He replies. Harry's strange "'ll see you soon?" From earlier makes sense now.
As we drive to the St. Pancras International Station, I pick up the camera. "Do you know how to use it?" Edward asks. "It's just a different format to what I'm used to." I say while looking at the buttons. He teaches me how to use it and I take a few practice shots of Harry and Edward as we drive. "I'm ready for my close-up." Harry says while flipping his hair. I take a picture and laugh at his funny face. I love his weird sense of humor. After my practice photos, I feel a lot better about taking pictures with the new camera.
Harry drops us off at the station, and Edward and I board the Chunnel. I watch the trees pass by with increasing speed as we depart. I'm actually going to Paris. I'm so glad I took this job opportunity, and I'm very proud of myself from my work recently. The whole move was totally worth it. As I leave, I text my parents and William to inform them of where I was going. "You're into all types photography, right?" Edward whispers as I type words on my tiny, glowing screen in the dark of the Chunnel. Most people are sleeping. "Take a selfie of us." He whisper laughs. "Um, okay." I whisper laugh back. I take the photo and set it as his contact photo. I also sent it to him as he requested when he saw it. The picture actually turned out well. There was enough lighting for you to see our faces. His smile lights up the photo, mostly. No one replied to my texts, and I wasn't really expecting them to because it's past midnight by now. I look over to see Edward reading a book, and I lean my head against the large window to try and get some sleep.
I woke up shortly. "Ouch." I whisper while rubbing my neck. It's aching like crazy. "You can lay on my shoulder." Edward whispers. I do so, and fall back to sleep quickly.
"We're here." He says while poking me in the cheek repeatedly. I laugh and groan sleepily. "Don't worry, more sleep comes soon."
"Did you sleep?" I ask him. "Yeah, but not long." He shrugs, and long yawn follows after. With an exhausted, almost loopy, laugh, I grab my things and we exit the Chunnel. We catch a bus at the Paris station, and it takes us to our hotel.
Edward does the talking because I don't know a lot of French. He opens up the hotel room and turns on the lights. "Is this a suite?" I ask with a gasp. It even has a balcony. "Looks a lot like it. I told you, these people are luxurious. That's why they wanted the best."
I set my things down by one of the beds and explore the place. It's huge. Too huge. "Too bad it's only a one night stay." I pout. The room is amazing, and we're in Paris! I run out to the balcony and look at the view. The Eiffel Tower was perfectly visible. "Edward, this is amazing!" I squeal as he meets me on the balcony. He laughs as I stare in awe at the city. It's beautiful, and I'm lost in all the lights.
"We should get some rest, we've got a long day ahead of us." He sighs. "Yeah." I smile in agreement. I'm so glad I agreed to his crazy offer. He follows me inside and closes the French doors. I love the style of this hotel.
I grab my camera and take a picture of Edward fixing the curtains. The colors of the room give the picture a nice warm glow. He turns once he hears the snap. "Sorry." I laugh as my face burns. I just had to take a picture. "It's fine." He shrugs. He must be just as tired as I am. He probably does these things a lot though, judging by his low level of excitement. I crawl on to my large bed and cover up with the large, fluffy comforter. I turn to tell Edward goodnight, but he's already snoring softly. I switch off the lamp, then fall asleep myself.
