Chapter 31: Why would you do this to me?

*Jade's P.O.V.*

I waited outside for Andy after school got out. He wasn't here on time so I figured he got caught up in traffic. I waited a little while and everyone was leaving. I looked back at my phone.

"2:45?! What the fuck! It's been a half hour."

I tried calling him but he wouldn't pick up. I then tried Juliet's phone and got the same response. I then decided to call CC and he picked up.

"Hello?" He said.

"Hey, do you know where Andy or Juliet are at the moment?" I asked.

"I don't think so. Why kiddo?" He asked.

"Well, I'm waiting for Andy to pick me up but he hasn't showed up yet." I said.

"Oh, that's weird. Wait, don't you get out at 2:15?" He asked.

"Yeah, that's why I was wondering where they were." I said. "I tried calling both of them and they wouldn't pick up."

"Oh, I have no idea. Uh, I'll come pick you up." He said.

"Thanks CC." I said.

"No problem. I'm on my way right now. Try calling them again and see if they pick up." CC said.

"Okay, I will. Thanks, bye." I said.

"Bye." He said.

I hung up and tried calling both of them again. No answer.

"Well, if I wasn't angry at them before, I am now."

CC showed up within 5 minutes. I got in his truck and we left.

"Hey, did you get a hold of them?" CC asked.

"No, they won't pick up." I said. "Do you think they got hurt or something?"

"No! I don't know what's going on. Maybe they're packing for tour or sleeping or something." CC said.

"I don't know. This only makes me more mad at them." I said.

"I know, they didn't mean to make you mad. Shit happens, you know?" CC said.

"Yeah, I guess so." I said.

I was still mad. We arrived at my house and both of the cars were there.

"What the fuck? They were home the whole time!?" I said, getting really pissed.

"Hey, it's okay Jade. They're just busy and have a lot on their minds." CC said. "I'll go in with you."

We got out of the truck and went to the door. It was locked.

"That's weird." I said.

I took my key out and unlocked it. I opened the door and stepped in, CC behind me.

"Hello!" I yelled.

There was some shuffling.

"Oh shit!" Andy said.

There were some noises and he ran out of his room. He was then stopped in his tracks when he saw us. I sighed.

"I'm so sorry Jade! I fell asleep and forgot to come get you. I thought I set an alarm." Andy said.

I was beyond pissed and refused to answer.

"It's okay, I got her from school. I just wanted to make sure everything was okay." CC said.

"Yeah, we had brought the pets to the sitters today and we've been packing and we are exhausted." Andy said.

"It's all good man." CC said.

"Thank you so much CC!" Andy said.

"Yeah man, that's what friends are for. I'm right around the corner if you need anything." CC said.

"Thanks so much." Andy said.

"Bye Jade." CC said.

"Bye, thanks." I said.

We hugged and he left. I went straight to my room and locked it. I didn't eat dinner at all and refused to talk to Andy for the whole night.

"Jade! Please talk to me." Andy said, begging through the door.

I didn't respond. He sighed.

"Okay, well I know you're pissed and this isn't gonna help at all but I need to tell you. We are leaving tomorrow morning." Andy said.

"What!?!" I screamed.

I opened my door, tears of anger and sadness flooded my eyes.

"I'm sorry Jade, I wanted to tell you sooner but you didn't want to talk. They need us early to do press." He said.

I started crying.

"Why would you do this to me!?!" I yelled.

"I'm sorry." He said.

He reached in for a hug and I slammed the door in his face.

"Ow." He said. "Jade!"

"Go away! You might as well just leave right now!!" I screamed.

Andy eventually gave up and let me be. I angrily packed my stuff up because I had to go to CC's house. When I finished, I asked Sky for Alex's number and he gave it to me. I then texted her and ranted to blow some steam off. She was the only one of my friends who knew about Andy so that's why I told her. She let me rant to her and I felt much better. I thanked her and apologized and then got ready for bed. I had calmed down and wanted to apologize to Andy but he was already sleeping.

"I'll just tell him tomorrow."

I hopped into bed and fell asleep.
