Saline Salvation
Your dark sky
Your hollow heart
You're a blunt lie
You're far apart
With elegant fantasies
And lucid dreams
Your distorted demons
Shone wicked beams
Your fervent anger
Dwindled with time
And an eternal sadness
Replaced a clown-like mime
You screamed her name
Till your throat bled stars
An your collarbone formed wells
Of constellations and spars
You embellished your walls
With the red liquid
Of your bleeding heart
And splayed on your floors
The tattered strings
Worn and threadbare
They were the chords
That never held
A love that died too early
Too damaged to be repaired
Too ravaged to be mend
With no words
You emitted
A sonorous melody
That echoed from the depths
Of a pitless ocean
And with your esoteric mind
You picked up a brush
And painted the devil
In a cage she placed your broken heart
Nothing left of it to crush
In a daze she left you like a dream
Your pain for you to hush
You've told yourself again and again
That boys don't sob and cryBut still your tears fell like droplets of rain
The grey of an infamous storm sky
On the long, lone nights you wonder
Think back again and shudder
She left you wrecked, destructed
But is there a road to redemption yet constructed?
Is there a path to salvation not obstructed?
