Finding True Love
Description:

25-year old Natalie Morgan is about to get married to the man of her life, or so she thought. When the man of her life walks out on their wedding day, she knew her life wouldn't be the same.

In disappointment and shock, she ran out of the church, on to the road. She ran until she couldn't take it anymore. She wondered through countless streets when she found herself lost.

One thing led to another and the next day, she woke up on a bed in an unfamiliar room with a middle-aged woman staring at her as if anticipating the time she woke up.

Prologue

I stared at myself through the mirror right in front of me. I was wearing a wedding gown, my wedding gown which I personally designed for this special day.

The gown is made of a silky smooth crepe de chine with a sweetheart illusion neckline. The bodice has an underwire built-in bra and boning to support the beading and shape the gown. The hand-beaded rhinestone and moonstone mesh bodice is elegant and sophisticated, and the train is medium-length for an overall and feminine effect.

"I can't believe it's actually my wedding day," I whispered.

"Well, you better believe it." I heard someone chuckle. I turned around and saw my bestfriend, Millie.

"Millie!" I gasped. "You're here."

"Of course I am, you don't actually expect me to miss my best friend's wedding day, can you?" Millie smiled as she walked over to me and gave me a hug.

"You're wearing one of my dresses," I told her as we let each other go.

Millie was wearing a blue scuba, evening gown with Egyptian-inspired embellishment over the ballet neckline, armhole, and v-back, the dress is finished with a trumpet skirt.

"My best friend is an amazing fashion designer who creates clothes, ships them out to her best friend across the country and you're surprised that I'm wearing a dress you made to your wedding," she explained.

"True," I said.

"Rob's really lucky to have an amazing person like you to become his wife," Millie smiled.

"Actually, it's the other way around." I corrected.

"Why?" Millie looked at me confused.

"I'm very lucky to have him as a husband," I continued. "At first I thought, he would be mean and the only reason he would be doing this is so our companies can unite and become stronger for the money. But, he was actually really kind, caring and an amazing person."

"Well, I'll be waiting with my parents inside the church, the ceremony is about to start," she told me as she began walking to the door.

"But don't forget, we still have a lot of catching up to do!" she continued as she opened the door and walked out the room while I turn my attention back to the mirror.

A few minutes later, someone knocks on the door.

"Come in," I yelled.

"Are you ready?" my father walked in the room.

"I just can't believe it, I'm actually getting married." I breathed out as I turned around to see my father.

"I can't believe you're actually getting married," my father chuckled. "I'm happy that you're finally getting married to the love of your life,"

"Aww, you're making me cry. I don't want to ruin the make up that Arianna worked extra hard on," I replied as I tried not to cry.

Arianna was my older brother's wife, they have two kids and are expecting another in August.

"Let's go, it's time." he told me as he looked down on his watch.

"Yup, let's!" I smiled as we walked out of the room on the entrance of the church together.

"Start walking," my father whispered.

We started walking on the red carpet leading to the front where Rob and I will take our vows and be married.

As we made our way down to the carpet, I made eye contact with Rob and he had this uneasy smile plastered on his face but, I shrugged it off, he was probably nervous as I was.

Once we finally reached Rob, my dad and I separated ways and we finally started the ceremony.

"Do you, Natalie Elizabeth Kingston, take this man, Robert William Kennedy, as your husband?" the priest asked.

I maintained eye contact with Rob before replying, "I do."

"Do you, Robert William Kennedy, take this woman, Natalie Elizabeth Kingston, as your wife?" the priest turned to Rob.

"I..." he trailed off as I waited for his answer.

Rob looked down on the floor before looking me in the eye, a trace of guilt and regret could be seen.

"I..." he trailed again. "don't."

"I'm sorry," he apologized before running out of the church.

I felt a tear cascade down my cheek. Everyone started whispering to each other, wondering what could've happened. I couldn't move at all, I just stood there as the tears came. I didn't wipe it off nor did I ask for a hanky.

"There must be an explanation for this," my sister, Beth, and my mother ran over to me and tried to comfort me.

"What is happening?" that's the question everyone is probably wondering.

"Why?" I whispered as I broke down and Beth, along with my mother, took me in their arms to comfort me.

"It's already 6, Ally. I don't he's coming back," Beth tried persuading me out of the church.

I was currently in my wedding dress, crying my eyes out in a crouched position where we made our vows and possibly got married.

"No, he'll come back. I know it," I muttered.

"Come on, it's getting late. We started at 8, he left at 9, and right now, it's already 6 in the afternoon," she explained.

"No," I replied, dryly.

"Fine, you can drown in your tears and die, I won't care." Beth huffed as she finally left me alone.

After what felt like hours, I stood up and decided to go for a run. I know what you're thinking, why in the hell with a girl run in a wedding gown, wearing three-inched nude stilettos, I guess that's just me.

I walked down the red carpet and out of the double doors of the church where we were supposedly getting married.

Once I got on the road, I ran as fast as I could down the street, turning in every direction until my feet can't take it anymore.

I stopped to rest for a while as I take in my surroundings.

"Oh no, where am I?" I asked myself as I looked for a familiar sign which could probably help me in finding my way back home.

Seconds later, pain shot through my veins from the back of my head. I don't remember anything else, all I remember is falling down the ground before everything turned completely dark.
