Dave eased himself in behind me as I stood watching the big screen. There was a large crowd and we had all been looked after at a fabulous buffet meal, with seating at tables both inside and out, in this huge home, the caterers did an awesome job.

It didn't matter where I was or where I sat for various courses Dave found me, and we ended up talking lightly together and with others to pass most of the night.

There was a christmas concert in the Auckland domain being screened on the television as part of the evenings entertainment. I loved it, and yet again Dave found me, as there was standing room only in this particular area, I was backed up almost to the wall, now Dave had pressed himself between me and the wall. I just about closed my eyes and moaned with how good it felt.

I don't know how it looked to others , one or two had given sideways glances but most accepted that Dave and I were together as friends for the evening and didn't question it any further, but what I was feeling from him at that moment was far from being just friends. He breathed in close to my ear, "Well how're you doing? You seem to be having a good time."

I nodded and smiled turning my head slightly and looking up at him, my breath caught in my throat, as something about what he was wearing tonight gave me a physical shock everytime I saw him, warmth spreading through me, quietly stealing away my strength.

He had on a modern look white tight fitting, short sleeved shirt, that left nothing to the imagination, and I wanted to run my hands over him and have him look at me with heat, telling me he was equally attracted to me.

But who was I kidding, as I was nothing more than a charity case, and he was interested in being nothing more than friends, he was not going to look twice at me in that way. We had shared a kiss and a laugh over the phone, all designed to just have a bit of fun I was sure.

He had been nothing but a gentleman to me all night, but I really needed to get a grip. "Want to play a game?" he whispered in my ear.

Ahhh, that sounded dangerous, just by the way he said it, there was a hungry edge to his voice. Not wanting to be the one that backed down I nodded confidently and casually said, "Sure, whatever."

"While we stand here, and the tv is up so loud, and we look to everyone else in the the room, as if we are just having a quiet conversation, how about I tell you what I would rather be doing right now. You in?"

I gulped and found my mouth was suddenly dry and the heat between us was definitely on the increase, how did I get into this position with him? We had done so well all night, avoiding anything too personal, now here was something I had never been good at, talking intimate with someone, without the doing.

Even then I guess you could say I had always been a bit on the conservative side. My silence must have given him all the answer he needed, as one hand continued to hold his drink, the other started drawing slow circles on my lower back, leaving trails of heat to weaken me further, "first thing would be all these people would just have to leave, maybe a fire alarm? Then I could finally," his voice growing husky and breathing in my ear, "finally get you alone, and I would like to take a good look at this beautiful artwork," his hand slipped discreetly around the side and started trailing over my tattoo.

"First with my hands then I would trail over it up close with my mouth, wanting to hear you groan for me to go further, down your gorgeous shapely body." I was in a daze, no, this wasn't happening. How could he say those things to me, without really meaning it? I turned to him on the verge of an angry outburst to face him directly.

He was leaning against the wall, and looking at me in a lazy way. But when I looked into his eyes I felt as if I was drowning, I knew, right then I knew how he felt, he wanted me. I couldn't think of a reason why, but tonight there was no baggage, and I remembered what Cassie said, "You are single..."
