I am still unconscious. I could feel the blood flowing from my head. All I see is darkness, just pitch black. I don't seem the hear Pochi's meow, or sense his presence. The only thing I could hear is my heart beat. I'm starting to get worried. All of a sudden, I'm starting to awake. I opened my eyes and realized I ended up in a whole different place, apparently a whole new world. It's dark, pitch black. I opened up my eyes right? I blinked as many times as I can, but apparently I don't see the difference. I guess I'm not in the antique store, or home at all. Up ahead, a red velvet path appeared before me that leads to an old wooden door, not too far from where I could see it. I got up slowly, hence feeling the pain from the vase shattering on top of my head, and followed the red velvet path. I reached the door and spotted a sign that was carved into the door itself. The door is old, all beaten up, with scratch marks, from small to noticeable ones.
No outsiders it says.
"Outsiders?" I said to myself. "Am I considered one of them?" I examined the door and had the urge to feel its texture.
"I know, right?" An overexcited voice responded, which startled me. I turned to my left and saw a girl, sitting casually, on an old crate. Her lady-like posture brings out her delicate black oxford shoes. Though, her sailor-style top, along with navy overalls, brings out her slightly curvy figure. Her rich dark skin, glowed as twilight and her brunette, naturally curly hair poof without circumstance. I stared at her in awe. She just sat there, never realizing that she was conversing with me. I stood there, silent while she was waiting for a response, as she was holding porcelain china in her hand.
"Where did you come from?" I asked, concerned. "You just suddenly appeared."
"Oh! Uh... I been here" she responded, taking a sip of tea, "all this time."
"Who are you?" I asked.
"Me?" She said, confused. I nodded. "I'm Gina. You seemed unfamiliar."
"Caroline." I greeted. "And exactly." I don't understand how it's quite possible, but I need to know where I am. I stood in place, confused as hell. "Um... Can I ask you something?"
"On what concern?" She said, in a depicting tone. "Is it my hair? The thing is they think my hair looks weird. Don't you think my hair looks weird? Is it? IS IT?"
I shook my head slightly. To tell you the truth, this girl is so full of herself, telling me all this nonsense. "Actually, that is not what I'm going to ask you."
Gina adjusted herself and smiled. "Sure, anything you want. What do you want to ask?"
"Where are you from?" I asked, very suspicious. "You look like you are from... from..."
"From...?" she imitated, gesturing her actions. "Although, I never seen you before."
"Exactly." I said. "That is why I am asking you." I was so pissed. This girl is somewhere in la la land. I took a deep breath and calmed down. "Where are you from? And where the hell am I?"
"Why, you are in the Müsic World~" she said, happily.
The Müsic World? Let me guess, a world all about music. Looks like my kind of world. "The Müsic World... What is it exactly?"
"A world where you expect the unexpected." She said, in a singsong tone. "When you enter the Müsic World, you end up in a nightmare that you'll never wake up to."
I felt a slight sank in my heart. That scared me to death. A vase landed on my head, which knocked me out completely and now I am trapped in this hell with no way out. I don't know why I'm standing here ranting. I need to know how to get home. I examined the wooden door. I been wondering what's behind there. Its kind of old, covered in scratches. I had my focus on the sign, on the door. Reading the two words over and over is so hurtful. I felt anger inside of me, wanting to rip it out from its spot.
"If you want, you can." She insisted. "To be honest, I don't even have the guts to pull that god damn propaganda out of its place." She said, as she chuckled. She continually sipped her tea.
I wanted to take her advice but I certainly don't get it. What do they mean by 'No Outsiders'? I certainly couldn't be one of them... am I?
"So tell me, where does this door lead to?" I asked, curiously.
Gina cleared her throat. "Well, it usually leads to many places."
"What kind of places?" I questioned.
"Any place. Where you want to go, just go."
I face palmed and sighed. "What the hell is this, Wonderland? All I wanted is to know where that door leads to and you're telling me some BS."
"Alright. Alright." Gina said, as she hopped off from the crate, setting her tea cup from where she's sitting, and stood from her spot. "You want to know where this door leads to?"
I nodded in impatience. I swear if she said anything nonsense, I will throw hands.
"This door leads to my home. Well, it used to be my home, but..."
"But...?" I imitated, raising an eyebrow.
"It is hard to comply..." Gina hesitates. I could see the warm flush in her cheeks. I stood there, arms folded and tapping my foot with impatience. "Okay. Okay. I'll tell you the truth" She let out of a huge sigh. "I got kicked out.... banned... vanished...y-you get what I mean. Anyways, I got kicked out of my kingdom, due to some rules I broke."
I raised an eyebrow again, but this time I was confused. Though, I actually believed her this time. "What did you do?"
Her face became "S-something that Her Majesty gets offended with." She said, aside.
I sighed. "So, what is this kingdom you lived in?"
"The Eyelash Kingdom." She said, as she smiled.
"The Eyelash Kingdom? Let me guess, it is a kingdom full of eyelashes."
Gina winked at me. Turns out I was correct.I could vision what the kingdom would look like. A bunch of eyelashes, decorated around the kingdom grounds, and people would be wearing them daily. Although, I could never be like any of them.
"It is a really nice place." She admitted. "But, I'm ain't going back, after what they did to me."
"Well, I want to do some exploring." I argued, grabbing Gina's hand. "Let's go!" I dragged her to the door. Turning the rusty knob, the door opened, making an annoying creeping sound. It revealed an apocalyptic environment, with mahogany-dark grey clouds and a tense, cold, grim feeling. I stepped forward and felt a cold breeze, blowing into my skin. We are standing on a bedrock mountain, facing a a whole new world. "You weren't kidding."
"Kidding about what?" A concerned Gina asked.
I gazed upon the mountain view of what it is called the Eyelash Kingdom. The palace shined bright, pastel light on the inside. The melancholy, beige walls surrounded he Kingdom. I took small steps towards the edge and stoped, looking down at darkness.
"Do we dare to go down?" I asked, in a low, nervous voice. It's not like I'm scared of heights, it is because of falling off the edge and meeting death on the way down. Though, the layer of rocks and dirt make the mountain top too steep and high to slide down.
"Not only if you slide down." Gina said, walking past me and stood close to the edge. She looked at me with confidence and winked. She stick her right foot out and leaned forward, as if she's about to step off the edge and fall into the darkness. She gestured me into following her. She stepped off and completely disappeared. I heavily gasp. I don't know what has gotten into that girl, but I decided to follow. As I ran to the spot, Gina was sliding down the rough terrain, almost halfway to the bottom. That girl is unstoppable.
I took a deep breath and turn around, walking back to where we camev from. I stopped and faced in a parallel direction, towards the scenery. My heart beats as an Olympic competitor storms off the moment a shot of a gun was heard. With adrenaline rushing through my veins, I started running with all the strength I have. It is hard to run in flats, but that doesn't matter. I ran with so much speed, until I came to the edge and jumped off, legs extended. The bad thing is that I worried about the results, if I would land safe and sound. My God. I couldn't stop thinking about. So much worrying. All of a sudden, my feet landed just as I expected and started sliding down the slanted, rough terrain. I could feel the wind, blowing into my face and hair, letting it free from the stress it goes through.
